  • Patent number: 9282376
Abstract: Disclosed are computer implemented methods, systems, and non-transitory media for representing a plurality of time-bounded events in first and second grids. The first grid has a larger size than the second grid. The second grid represents a second set of time-bounded events in the plurality of time-bounded events. A user-movable window is presented at a first position within the second grid where it encompasses a first portion of the second grid. The time-bounded events in the first portion of the second grid are displayed as a first set of time-bounded events in the first grid. Responsive to user instructions to move a position of the window from the first position to a second position within the second grid, the window is moved to the second position where it encompasses a third set of time-bounded events. Further, the first grid is updated to display the third set of time-bounded events.

  • Patent number: 5367940
Abstract: A combined muzzle brake and noise redirector is effective to reduce recoil in the range of 25-35% and redirect noise away from the shooter in the range of 35-50%. An outer shell is threaded onto the muzzle end of a firearm and provides a series of inclined openings directed away from the breech end of the firearm. An inner shell provides a central passage for the bullet and a series of openings perpendicular to the central passage. These openings are out of registry and act to redirect noise substantially. Another series of openings in the inner and outer shells are in registry and face upwardly and reduce muzzle climb by directing some propellant gases upwardly.

  • Patent number: 4024019
Abstract: An integral nuclear reactor having between the core and the reactor shell an annular passage in which is situated at least one bundle of tubes leading to and from an outlet and inlet header respectively to which they are butt welded. Heated fluid from the reactor core flows around the tubes causing a cross-flow heat exchange with the fluid in the tubes. Preferably some of the tubes in the upper region of the or each bundle near where they are welded to the headers are bent so that they lie in a higher plane than others in the bundle, thereby offering a greater welding area to the headers.
