Publication number: 20240091022Abstract: A spinal interbody device (IBD) includes a solid wall that at least partially defines a boundary of the IBD and a porous body connected to the solid wall. The porous body includes a plurality of sections that form at least a portion of both a superior and inferior bone interface side of the IBD. Each section of the porous body has a different porosity than an adjacent section such that the porosities increase toward a center of the IBD.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 27, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Collin Newman, Christian Karl Schultz, Steven Willis, Amir Ali Sharifi-Mehr, Oliver Buchert, Christopher P. Patent number: 11047844Abstract: An improved electronic diagnostic device for detecting the presence of an analyte in a fluid sample comprises a casing having a display, a test strip mounted in the casing, a processor mounted in the casing, and a first sensor mounted in the casing and operatively coupled to the processor. The processor is configured to receive a signal from the first sensor when the device is exposed to ambient light thereby causing the device to become activated. The device includes a light shield that exerts pressure across a width of the test strip to prevent fluid channeling along the length of the test strip. The processor is configured to present an early positive test result reading when a measured value exceeds a predetermined early reading threshold value at any time after a predetermined early testing time period.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 2018Date of Patent: June 29, 2021Assignee: Church & Dwight Co., Inc.Inventors: Andy Sturman, Benedict Zin, Albert Nazareth, Henry Bell

Patent number: 9151028Abstract: A flushing valve suitable for reducing water wastage from a cistern of a toilet is described. The flushing valve comprising an inlet valve, an outlet valve and a timer valve. The timer valve is mechanically connected to both the inlet valve and the outlet valve so as to control their movement between an open and a closed position such that the timer valve prevents both the inlet valve and the outlet valve from simultaneously being in their open positions. By preventing the inlet valve and the outlet valve from simultaneously being in their open positions results in the fact that the flushing valve does not allow the cistern to start to refill until after the flush process is complete. This results in a significant reduction in the volume of water passing through the cistern during each flushing cycle.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 2008Date of Patent: October 6, 2015Assignee: GTP DEVELOPMENTS LIMITEDInventor: Thomas Henry Bell

Patent number: 6788038Abstract: A pulse frequency modulation switching regulator varies the forced off-time of a load circuit when the load circuit is subject to an overload or short circuit event. An on-switch of the circuit is deactivated for a variable time interval when an output current of the load circuit exceeds a threshold. The time interval that the on-switch is deactivated is dependent on an output voltage of the load circuit. The on-switch is deactivated for a short time interval when the load circuit is subject to a slight overload. The on-switch is deactivated for a long time interval when the load circuit is subject to a short circuit.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2003Date of Patent: September 7, 2004Assignee: National Semiconductor CorporationInventors: Robert Henry Bell, Steven Michael Barrow
