  • Publication number: 20100241207
Abstract: An implantable medical assembly comprising at least one electrode carried on an inside surface of a web comprising a biocompatible film wound into a generally tubular configuration, the film containing a plurality of distinct apertures distributed throughout the web to increase its flexibility and to create a means by which biological fluids can penetrate the assembly. The assembly may further comprise at least one wire connected to the electrode to provide a stimulation signal.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 14, 2007
    Publication date: September 23, 2010
    Inventor: Henry Bluger
  • Patent number: 7085605
Abstract: An implantable medical assembly is disclosed. The implantable medical assembly comprises at least one electrode, at least one undulated wire connected to said electrode to provide stimulation signal and a biocompatible film within which said electrode and said wire are embedded.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 23, 2003
Date of Patent: August 1, 2006
    Assignee: Epic Biosonics Inc.
    Inventors: Henry Bluger, Jeffrey Stephen
  • Publication number: 20050107858
Abstract: The present invention is an implantable cable and a process to manufacture said implantable cable. The cable is composed of a biocompatible fluoropolymer, in which biocompatible conductor wires are embedded. The entire cable is heat treated at various stages to ensure the wires are securely embedded. The cable is then undulated to enhance its pliability and flexibility. Further treatment activates the outer surface of the cable, following which it may be encapsulated in silicone.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 14, 2004
    Publication date: May 19, 2005
