  • Patent number: 10170737
Abstract: A battery holder includes a first base, a first holding portion and a second holding portion. The first base is opposed to a first end of the battery unit in the state in which the battery unit is located at a first holding position. The first holding portion is movably arranged on the first base between a first position, where the first holding portion contacts a held portion of the battery unit to hold the battery unit at the first holding position, and a second position, where the first holding portion is separated from the held portion. The second holding portion is arranged on the first base at a downstream side of the first holding portion in a removal direction of the battery unit from the battery holder to hold the battery unit at a second holding position that is located at a downstream side of the first holding position.

  • Patent number: 9540982
Abstract: In an exhaust train for an internal combustion engine having an integrated thermoelectric generator, the exhaust train has at least one duct, through which exhaust gas flows and in which at least one thermoelectric module is arranged in such a way that the hot side of the thermoelectric module is in direct contact with the exhaust gas, while the cold side of the thermoelectric module is cooled by means of a heat transfer medium.

  • Publication number: 20040101699
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat insulating layer on a metallic substrate for using for high temperatures, especially for temperatures above 1300° C. Starting with a base of La2Zr2O7, the properties of the heat insulating substance to be used as the heat insulating layer are regularly improved, by substituting lanthanum cations with ions of elements Nd, Eu, Dy, Sm and/or Gd. An additional, at least partial substitution of the zirconium cations by Ce, Hf or Ta is advantageous. Improving the properties results especially in a high thermal coefficient of dilation &agr; and low heat conductivity &lgr;.

  • Patent number: 5918720
Abstract: A safe providing both permanent and temporary storage of money. The safe uses bill validators to accurately count cash deposited into a secure area. A control system records the amount of money entered into both the temporary and permanent storage and the amount withdrawn from the temporary storage. The control system includes both a primary and an auxiliary memory for storing an audit trail of these transactions. Further, the control system utilizes an encryption code for communications between a main controller and each of the door controllers.
