    Abstract: A portable dispenser for adhesively-coated tape having a protective backing, such as duct tape, includes a frame and means on the frame for rotatably supporting a tape reel. A rub-out bar on the frame urges the tape against the surface to which the tape is to be fixed, and a take-up reel is biased into contact with the dispensing reel for simultaneously pulling away and taking up the protective backing from the tape being dispensed.
