  • Patent number: 9874349
Abstract: A combustion system comprises a discharge nozzle with concentric air and fuel orifices. A fuel conduit is coupled to each fuel orifice while an air conduit is coupled to each air orifice. The fuel and air only mixing with one another upon discharge. A supplemental air source supplies supplement air for combustion. An air deflector disk supports the discharge nozzle and a cylindrical blast tube surrounds the air deflector sleeve and the air deflector disk while an outlet end of the cylindrical blast tube supports a flame retention head. The deflector disk permits some combustion air to flow into the combustion chamber while redirecting a remaining portion of the supplement air. The flame retention head permits some of the supplement air to discharge into a burner box while redirecting the remaining supplement air radially inward through openings in the air deflector sleeve to assist with combustion of the fuel mixture.

  • Patent number: 9657938
Abstract: A fuel combustion system comprises a discharge nozzle with concentric fuel and air orifices. A fuel conduit is coupled to each fuel orifice for supplying liquid fuel thereto. An air conduit is coupled to each air orifice for supplying air thereto. The fuel and the pressurized air only mixing with one another, upon being discharged from the respective fuel and air orifices, to form a fuel mixture. A supplemental air source supplies supplement air to facilitate combustion. An air deflector sleeve at least partially surrounds and accommodates the at least one discharge nozzle and a cylindrical blast tube surrounding the air deflector sleeve and an outlet end of the cylindrical blast tube supports a flame retention head. The flame retention head redirects the supplement air radially inward, through openings in the air deflector sleeve and the flame retention head, to assist with combustion of the fuel mixture.

  • Publication number: 20100209858
Abstract: A burner system, for burning a liquid fuel/compressed air fuel mixture, comprising a discharge nozzle having a mixing chamber for mixing a liquid fuel with compressed air and discharging the fuel mixture via a discharge orifice. The burner system is coupled to a liquid fuel storage source for storing and supplying the liquid fuel, at a sight positive pressure, to the mixing chamber and the burner system also coupled to a source of compressed air which is supplied to the mixing chamber. An igniter is provided for igniting the fuel mixture, discharged from the discharge orifice in a substantially atomized form, for rapid and through combustion of the fuel mixture. Supplemental air is also supplied, via a variable speed supplemental airfan, to assist with complete combustion of the fuel mixture.

  • Publication number: 20070169759
Abstract: A vaporized fuel system comprising a mixing chamber, a gaseous fuel component for combining with a liquid fuel component in the mixing chamber. The gaseous fuel component mixes with the liquid fuel component to form a combustible fuel mixture which is thereafter ignited and consumed. An ample supply of additional air, e.g., oxygen, is added to the combustible fuel mixture, during combustion, to ensure substantially complete combustion and consumption of substantially of at least the liquid fuel component.

  • Publication number: 20040216765
Abstract: A chimney cleaning apparatus and method of using the same to clean a chimney. The chimney cleaning apparatus comprises a support structure for attaching the chimney cleaning apparatus adjacent an exhaust outlet of a chimney. An adjustable rotatable arm is supported by the support structure and a drive mechanism rotates the adjustable rotatable arm relative to the support structure. A cable is attached to a free end of the adjustable rotatable arm and the cable, during use, extending into a discharge passage of the chimney to facilitate cleaning of the chimney when the drive mechanism rotates the adjustable rotatable arm.

  • Patent number: 5435082
Abstract: An apparatus, for stabilizing a plowing implement mounted on a motor vehicle, comprising a rigid stabilizer member having first and second opposed ends. One end of the stabilizer member supports an attachment device for attaching the stabilizer member to a plowing frame secured to a motor vehicle. The attachment device allows pivoting motion of the stabilizer member relative to the plowing frame. The second end of the stabilizer member has an abutment surface for abutting against a pivotable portion of the plowing implement when the plowing implement is raised into travel position. The stabilizer member is pivotable into an inoperative position where complete freedom of movement of the plow is achieved and an operative position by a control mechanism. When the stabilizer member is in its operative position, the abutment surface abuts against a pivotable portion of the plowing implement to minimize undesired bouncing of the plowing implement while the vehicle is traveling on a roadway.

  • Patent number: 4936021
Abstract: The invention relates to the an adjustable support and spacer device having and a base member and extension member which is adjustable relative thereto via a releasable clamp. The extension member and the base member each carry a support member whereby the adjustment of the extension member relative to the base member provides a relative adjustment of the two support members. The base and extension members are provided with measuring indicia and the extension member is able to be pivoted about the releasable connection device to provide angular adjustment between the two support members.
