  • Patent number: 7201019
Abstract: A method of separating one or more light components, such as helium, from a carbon dioxide containing stream. A two-phase stream is obtained, at least in part, by cooling a pressurized feed stream to at least partially condense such stream. The stream that is subsequently degassed to produce a first vapor stream enriched in the light component(s) and a first liquid stream containing an entrained fraction of the light component(s). The first liquid stream is expanded to create another two-phase stream that is degasified to produce a second vapor stream that is also enriched in the light component(s) and a second liquid stream having an enriched carbon dioxide content. The second liquid stream is repressurized and vaporized. In case of a supercritical feed, the pressurized feed stream is expanded after having been cooled. Thereafter, the feed is degassed to produce the light component enriched vapor stream and a liquid stream enriched in the carbon dioxide.

  • Publication number: 20070048952
Abstract: A double diffused region (65), (75), (85) is formed in an epitaxial layer (20). The double diffused region is formed by first implanting light implant specie such as boron through an opening in a photoresist layer prior to a hard bake process. Subsequent to a hard bake process heavy implant specie such as arsenic can be implanted into the epitaxial layer. During subsequent processing such as LOCOS formation the double diffused region is formed. A dielectric layer (120) is formed on the epitaxial layer (20) and gate structures (130), (135) are formed over the dielectric layer (120).

  • Publication number: 20060159464
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for obtaining status information concerning an optical transmission path. The method begins by generating a COTDR probe signal having a prescribed wavelength and transmitting optical traffic signals and the COTDR probe signal over an optical transmission path having a length corresponding to those used in regional undersea market applications. The prescribed wavelength of the COTDR probe signal is separated from wavelengths at which the optical traffic signals are located by a distance at least equal to a predetermined guard band. A backscattered and/or reflected portion of the COTDR probe signal in which status information concerning the optical path is embodied is received over the optical path. The backscattered and/or reflected portion of the COTDR probe signal is detected to obtain the status information.

  • Patent number: 6955443
Abstract: A drinking glass base apparatus having a wide base ascending to a narrow top, the under side of the rigid base being hollow and open all the way through the narrow top; a machined lip on the inside of the base to accommodate a partition member; a partition member housing electronic components consisting of a battery holder powered by a battery and activated by an on/off switch supplying energy to an LED. An LED is mounted to point directly up through the top of the narrow portion of the glass base, but extending only a short distance up into the narrow top of the base. A hole at the top of the glass base is machined larger than the hole opening provided for the LED so that the transparent stem of a drinking glass can be inserted and permanently fastened into the top of the narrow base to allow the light from the LED to be projected up into the drinking glass when the switch is turned on.
