  • Publication number: 20100047352
Abstract: The inventive material is a unique family of externally used wound sealants based upon a binding agent of reactive submicron silica particles that, when hydrated, agglomerate in the form of a supramolecular cross-linked network serving as the structural framework facilitating clot formation. A thrombolytic cascade accelerant can be provided, optionally with additional clotting factors, to further accelerate the clotting process.

  • Publication number: 20080091518
Abstract: A method and software system by which the behavior, economic status, demographic profile, and other data describing cellphone subscribers are captured, stored, and analyzed, then edited and managed by the subscriber to create an accurate subscriber profile. A real-time subscriber monitoring system based upon cellphone location and direction of movement. A system to permit advertisers to target subscribers with messages that are specific to subscriber demography, location, activity, and situation. One variation of the system enables the subscriber to proactively request information about products or services and permits advertisers to respond with targeted messages including the requested information. Another variation permits the subscriber to access weather, sports scores, news, traffic, and similar data, with targeted advertising attached to the information supplied.

  • Publication number: 20070283841
Abstract: An energy converting system is comprised of a track, a controller, and a magnetized body located on the track and including an energy converting unit. The track comprises electrically connected coil windings spaced apart in a series way along the track to form a 3-phase linear stator. The controller is electrically connected with the linear stator and generates a combination waveform consisting of a multi-phase propulsion signal and a power signal. The propulsion and power signals are at different frequencies. The propulsion signal causes the interaction of the magnetized body with the linear stator, thus propelling the magnetized body along the track. The energy converting unit comprises electrically connected energy consuming means and at least one pick-up coil inductively coupled to the linear stator, thus providing power to the energy consuming means.

  • Publication number: 20060239003
Abstract: A countdown timer for high performance flashlights and similar battery-operated devices that is initialized with a runtime figure equal to the life expectancy of installed linear depletion-curve cells, that is always on and visible, that counts down whenever the flashlight is switched to the ON position, and that displays time remaining until the installed cells/charge are depleted, thus permitting the user to see at a glance the approximate runtime remaining on the installed power supply.

  • Publication number: 20060195563
Abstract: A software tool, message construction and peer-to-peer internet communication methodology by which otherwise independent retailers that sell the same product lines can cost-effectively equalize inventory, facilitating the movement of items from geographic markets in which the items are slow-moving to geographic markets in which the items are faster-moving.

  • Publication number: 20060195562
Abstract: A Business Method by which otherwise independent nodes of a distribution system can undergo confidential interactions via an internet website or other means to equalize inventory to their mutual benefit and profit, with the Business Method Practitioner operating the mechanism and retaining a percentage of each transaction as a fee for the service provided. In the manufacturing world for which the Business Method is primarily intended, this has the collateral benefits of reducing the percentage of overstock goods sold at a discount and understock goods purchased at a premium, raising the overall profitability of the industry served, protecting branding, and improving performance of individual nodes of the market and of the overall market.

  • Patent number: 6526363
Abstract: A system for calibrating a sperm quality analyzer (SQA) is provided. An optical shutter is inserted into an optical chamber within the SQA. A playback circuit coupled to the optical shutter stores pre-recorded sample waveforms and applies the pre-recorded waveforms to the optical shutter to produce contrast variations in the optical shutter that mimic the random motion of live samples.
