  • Patent number: 10472811
Abstract: Disclosed is an in-the-bowl dispensing device designed to dispense two liquid compositions into a toilet bowl at two separate time intervals. One dispensing action takes place during the flush of the toilet bowl and a second separate dispensing action takes place after the flush of the toilet bowl is complete. In this manner the second liquid composition is retained in the toilet bowl until the toilet bowl is flushed by the next user.

    Filed: January 19, 2017
Date of Patent: November 12, 2019
    Assignee: RECKITT BENCKISER (BRANDS) LIMITED
Inventors: Kris Carver, Jesse Delgigante, Henry Fletcher, John Kenneth Hainsworth, Iain Christopher Smith, Alim Thawer

  • Patent number: 9459619
Abstract: Continuous equipment operation is facilitated despite disablement of an automation controller for controlling the equipment. A safe state in which equipment is to be maintained upon disablement of the automation controller is determined. Safe state data is provided for configuring an I/O module, through which the automation controller controls the equipment, with the safe state data to facilitate maintaining the equipment in the safe state during disablement of the automation controller. In one embodiment, upon subsequent enablement of the automation controller, a current state of the I/O module is evaluated and an automatic control state into which the equipment is to be transitioned is determined. The equipment is then transitioned to the determined automatic control state.

  • Patent number: 6941587
Abstract: A unisex, portable urinal for bedridden individuals. The urinal has a generally triangular shape for stability and to reduce urine levels, both of which prevent spillage. A handle configuration helps users properly position the urinal, for example in a manner that forms a good seal against the relevant portion of the female anatomy. Both male and female users benefit from stable urine storage and a comfortable, ergonomic form.

  • Publication number: 20050038443
Abstract: Described are surgical tools, including tool drivers and implantation instruments, that provide improved visual and positional access to human acetabulum. Some embodiments include a conduit with multiple bends to circumvent soft tissue surrounding the acetabulum. The conduits may employ a number of interlocking, rotational links to transfer torque from a drive end of the tool to a bit end. In one embodiment the bit end supports an attachment actuator that securely engages a conventional acetabular cup for insertion and placement. The attachment actuator can release the cup without moving the body of the tool, which prevents accidental dislodging of a properly placed acetabular cup.

  • Patent number: 6464727
Abstract: A spinal fusion implant device is provided for insertion into a generally cylindrical bore formed between adjacent vertebrae. The device includes: a shaft having a longitudinal central axis; and a plurality of projections extending radially from the shaft and terminating in a surface, each of the projections being oriented to form a thread like segment for engaging the internal surface of the cylindrical bore to advance the device axially into the bore upon rotation of the device about the longitudinal axis. In an embodiment, each of the projections includes an elongated member terminating in a surface including at least one rib adapted to form a thread like segment for engaging the internal surface of the bore. The elongated member further includes a bulbous head forming the surface at a distal end of the elongated member.

  • Patent number: 6212283
Abstract: The invention provides a ball joint assembly for articulated hearing devices. The ball joint assembly acoustically and mechanically separates a receiver module, placed deeply within the ear canal near the tympanic membrane, from a main module, placed relatively distal to the tympanic membrane. The ball joint assembly allows for independent and free movement of the receiver module with respect to the main module. The ball joint assembly has a central axial conduit for conducting electrical wiring from the main module to the receiver module. The ball joint assembly has built in features to limit its range of motion to prevent damage to the wiring conducted within the ball joint assembly. The ball joint assembly and range limiting features are essentially fully contained within the wall of the main housing, thus minimizing the size of the hearing device and allowing for a deep and comfortable placement within the ear canal.
