Abstract: A method and system for creating and managing a stored value account associated with a client device is disclosed. A first stored value and an associated first virtual token may be created. A graphical representation of the first virtual token may be displayed on a display of a client device. An exchange request may be received, and a second stored value account may be created along with an associated second virtual token. Next, an animation that includes a transition from the first virtual token to the second virtual token may be displayed on the display of the client device. The animation may include a peel-off effect in which the first virtual token appears to curl away to reveal the second virtual token when the first virtual token has been exchanged for the second virtual token.
