  • Patent number: 9399001
Abstract: A method of making a blister sealing fixture which includes the selection of a card locating portion which has an annular wall which defines an annular recess closed by a removable bottom wall. A sealing insert portion having a cavity to receive a blister to be sealed is positioned on the bottom wall and is adapted to be moved to all positions within the recess. A sample or test card of the configuration of a production run to be handled by the sealing fixture is selected and to this card a sample or test blister is attached. The position of the blister on the card is determined by the user and has herein has at times been referred to as a desired position or location. This resulting positioning device is then placed over the recess with the test blister engaging the recess in the sealing insert.

  • Patent number: 6889588
Abstract: A compensating blister die cutter apparatus is disclosed which has the purpose of cutting a sheet of blisters which have been formed on a sheet of plastic material in individual blisters which are generally symmetrical in configuration. The apparatus includes at least first and second blister die cutter units supported by a base member. Each of the blister die cutter units comprises a supporting member which includes a bottom board, a backup plate positioned on the bottom board, and a top board positioned on the backup plate. A rule slot is provided in the top board and a steel rule is located in the rule slot and has a cutting edge. A cavity is formed in the central portion of the bottom board, backup plate and top board as assembled to accommodate the blister shape during the cutting operation. A threaded member connects the bottom board, backup plate and top board together to move as a unit.

  • Patent number: 6616173
Abstract: Apparatus for starting a direct drive go-cart which includes a frame having front and rear end portions as well as a handle portion. Wheels are attached to the front and rear end portions of the frame for moving the apparatus along a road or track. The front end portion is provided with a rotatable shaft to which is attached an engagement member or holding member which is adapted to engage a go-cart to lift the rear end of the same off of the ground. The shaft and the engagement member are movable between latched and unlatched positions to either hold a go-cart or release the same. A latchable member is operatively connected to the shaft and when latched holding the engagement member in latched condition to keep the rear end of a go-cart off of the ground. A latch member serves to hold the latchable member in latched condition and is connected to the latch member to release it from the latched condition.

  • Patent number: 5529472
Abstract: An apparatus for performing a vacuum forming operation utilizing first and second vacuum producing devices connected to an air space beneath a heated plastic film which is located over a mold in which the film is to be shaped or molded. The first vacuum producing device is capable of removing a relatively large volume of air from the air space and producing a relatively weak vacuum. The second vacuum producing device is capable of removing a relatively small volume of air and producing a relatively high or strong vacuum. This enables the initial portion of the vacuum forming method to rapidly remove a large volume of air with a relatively inexpensive turbine type mechanism and produce a small or weak vacuum and once this has been accomplished, then the second vacuum producing device is activated which rapidly removes the small amount of air remaining and produces a relatively high vacuum.

  • Patent number: 4433703
Abstract: A panel mounted control valve including a housing having a bore with a valve seat formed in the bore. An axially and rotatably movable actuating member which has a valve member thereon is mounted in the bore for movement therein. A nut member is threadably mounted on an end portion of the actuating member and moves axially to compress or decompress a spring which biases the valve member to closed position. A slot is formed in the housing and the walls of the slot are located adjacent opposed flat portions on the nut member to prevent the nut member from rotating but permitting it to move axially.
