  • Patent number: 4570275
Abstract: The invention pertains to bedding support apparatus for supporting bed clothes above the mattress to alleviate the weight of bed clothes upon a patient. Rigid frame elements inserted under the mattress include a wire core encased in a cylindrical synthetic plastic cover. The bedding support consists of two frame elements each having coaxially aligned end portions bridged by a tubular connector into which the end sections are telescoped. Depressions are formed in the connectors extending into the connector bore whereby frictional engagement is made with the element cover permitting the width of the bedding support to be readily adjusted, and the depressions insuring frictional contact between the frame elements and tube connectors regardless of variable dimensional tolerances.

  • Patent number: 4196487
Abstract: The invention pertains to washers for eyeglasses, and is particularly suitable for cleaning safety glasses used in industrial and commercial locations. An elongated container capable of receiving eyeglasses in the folded condition includes a closed lower end and a lid adapted to seal the upper end in a liquid tight manner. A washing solution and soft pellets within the container clean the glasses upon shaking the container, and the container may be suspended from a lid attached supporting member wherein a downward force exerted on the container displaces the lid therefrom permitting access to the container interior.

  • Patent number: 4196514
Abstract: A fingernail or toenail clipper utilizing an expandable elastomer intermediate leaf spring members upon which the cutting edges are defined wherein the elastomer expands against the cutting edges during nail clipping to retain the severed nail clipping against the cutting edges until the edges are opened. Additionally, as the elastomer is mounted adjacent the cutting edges it may serve as a gauge to locate the nail relative to the cutting edges prior to severing.

  • Patent number: 4178015
Abstract: An inflatable spring for vehicle usage comprising a flexible wall tube or hose folded lengthwise upon itself to define inflatable upper and lower portions. The ends of the tube are sealed by clamping plates, and communication between the inflatable portions is established by a conduit communicating with the portions and passing through the sealed tube ends intermediate the clamping plates.

  • Patent number: 4050402
Abstract: A warning device to discourage the unauthorized entering of doors and windows utilizing a spring contracted bellows held in an extended condition by anchor means associated with building closure structure. Upon the opening of the associated door or window one of the anchor means is released permitting the bellows to be rapidly contracted producing an audible sound by means of a vibratable reed to warn the occupant and discourage the intruder from further entry.

  • Patent number: 3952688
Abstract: A device for attaching to the underside of an internal combustion engine accelerator which is compressed during depressing of the accelerator. A rate of accelerator depression faster than that efficiently necessary causes the device to emit an audible signal indicating excessively rapid accelerator movement such as causes the wasting of gasoline. The device comprises an expansible chamber motor in the form of a bellows having a reed type sound producing element actuated by air forced from the bellows during accelerator depression.
