  • Publication number: 20240122918
Abstract: A drug delivery device comprising: a first layer comprising a first coaxially electrospun nanofiber membrane; a second layer comprising a second coaxially electrospun nanofiber membrane; a first therapeutic agent integrated into the first coaxially electrospun nanofiber membrane; and a second therapeutic agent integrated into the second coaxially electrospun nanofiber membrane. The second therapeutic agent is different from the first therapeutic agent.

  • Patent number: 11937596
Abstract: An improved ultra-fast cooling system is disclosed for cryopreservation of biomaterials. The ultra-fast cooling system is designed to uniformly vitrify or partially vitrify biomaterials, including but not limited to, human biomaterials, proteins, peptides, cells, stem cells, antibodies, neurons, human tissue, organs, cornea, skin, retina, eggs, sperm, embryos, body fluids, blood, serum, lymph fluid, animal tissue, plant biomaterials, plant tissue, germ plasma, pollen, plant sap, and bioengineered tissue, without cryoprotectants or with a low concentration of cryoprotectants. Cooling rates are sufficient to uniformly cryopreserve biomaterials, and can be used in diagnostic cytology and biological cryofixation applications. Other materials also can be cooled uniformly, such as inorganic materials for processing.

  • Publication number: 20190171379
Abstract: Systems and methods for fast storage allocation for encrypted storage are disclosed. An example method may include receiving, by a processing device executing a hypervisor, an identification of a first storage block that has been released by a first virtual machine; tracking, by the hypervisor, an encryption status corresponding to the first storage block to indicate whether the first storage block contains encrypted content; receiving a request to allocate storage to a second virtual machine; analyzing, by the hypervisor, the first storage block to determine that the first storage block contains encrypted content in view of the encryption status corresponding the first storage block; and allocating the first storage block containing the encrypted content to the second virtual machine without clearing the encrypted content of the first storage block.

  • Patent number: 8762534
Abstract: A fair weighted-hashing technique may be used in load balancing among a group of modules. In one implementation, a device may maintain a table that relates how incoming client resource requests are to be distributed among the modules. The device may update the table, in response to an indication that an additional module, associated with a module identifier, is to be included in the group of modules. The updating may include determining a number of entries to add to the table for the additional module, calculating a first hash value for each of the number of entries, and modifying the table by writing the module identifier to one or more sequential entries of the table, beginning at an index into the table corresponding to the first hash value.
