  • Publication number: 20060234750
Abstract: A telecommunication system has a wireless transmitter that transmits data stream signals via multiple channels over a plurality of antennas, the transmitter having a power controller that selects transmission power loading per channel. The telecommunication system further has a wireless receiver that receives data stream signals from the transmitter, and the receiver has a detector that estimates power loading selections of the transmitter. The controller further quantizes the power loading values, and the detector uses the quantized power loading values to automatically estimate power loading selection by the transmitter.

  • Patent number: 7039000
Abstract: Timing in a receiver is synchronized to an orthogonal frequency division multiplex (OFDM) signal transmitted over a channel. The OFDM signal includes multiple training symbols, including long and short training symbols. The first half of the training symbols are correlated with the second half to determine a coarse index which is used to adjust the unsynchronized OFDM. In the coursely adjusted OFDM signal, the first training symbol is then correlated with the last traininig symbol to determine a fine index to adjust the coarsely adjusted OFDM signal so that the receiver is synchronized with the transmitted OFDM signal.

  • Patent number: 6820243
Abstract: A method and system for simulating a circuit design that includes analog and/or digital circuitry uses a hybrid system of static analysis and dynamic simulation. Once the user's circuit is read in and partitioned into stages, the input vectors are applied. A hybrid vector is used to represent a number of possible signal states, for example, a logic 0 or logic 1, as well as a number of possible signal transitions, for example, a rising signal or a falling signal. The possible combinations of states are enumerated and the network in the stage is solved for all possible combinations. The results from the network solutions for the different combinations are recomposed into the hybrid notation, which is then applied to the next stage.

  • Patent number: 6209122
Abstract: A method for minimizing signal delay and power consumption is provided. Through combined power simulation and delay analysis, iterative transistor resizing is performed based on a variety of factors including relative delay of associated circuit paths, nodal switching activities and association of transistors in channel-connected sets.
