  • Patent number: 4512414
Abstract: A rotary tiller having a housing defining a hydraulic fluid reservoir and rotatably support a tine shaft. A hydraulic motor is mounted to the housing in driving communication with the tine shaft. A pump unit is remotely located on an associated tractor. The reservoir received spent hydraulic fluid from the motor, cools the fluid, and surrenders the cooled fluid to the pump unit.

  • Patent number: 4467753
Abstract: In a small tractor, there is provided a suspension system for mounting a small internal combustion engine on the framework of the tractor that includes a pair of vibration-dampening engine mounts substantially on the center of gravity of the engine and an engine mount for the main engine drive shaft. The motor mount for the shaft is incorporated in a pulley device that includes a pulley concentric with but spaced from the shaft so that the vibrations of the shaft and engine are not transmitted to the pulley. The pulley is supported by a journal carried on the tractor frame and the pulley is connected to the shaft through an annular layer of elastomer material that is fixed to rotate both with the pulley and the shaft and which dampens any shaft or engine vibration that might otherwise be transmitted to the pulley and to the frame.

  • Patent number: 4304303
Abstract: The draft control consists of a three-point hitch mechanism which automatically raises or lowers the hitched implement so that a predetermined draft load can be maintained. An increase or decrease draft load on the implement is sensed by an upper hitch arm. A linkage mechanism transfers this force through a number of links of proper length, such that, the implement is raised with excessive draft load and lowered the implement as the draft load decreases from the excessive level. The draft load that is to be maintained is determined by the location of the middle link in one of a plurality of holes in the attaching linkage. Structure is provided to lock out the draft control.

  • Patent number: 4265464
Abstract: A stabilizer rod and lower draft link are supported on opposite ends of a common supporting pin on a tractor with each being carried thereon by a ball and socket joint. The stabilizer rod and draft link converge rearwardly. The rod is provided with external threads on its rear end portion. A ball and socket joint is fixed to the draft link and the threaded portion of the rod extends through the ball portion of the joint. Nuts are provided on opposite sides of the ball and may be adjusted axially along the rod for varying the amount of sway of the respective draft link or for locking the draft link entirely against sway.
