    Abstract: A garment hanger an and associated indicator therefor. The garment hanger has a projecting web which includes at least one recess on one side thereof. The indicator includes a body having a pair of side walls, a pair of end walls connecting the side walls, a top wall and an open end arranged so as to define a cavity which is dimensioned to receive the projecting web of the hanger. The indicator further includes an abutment positioned on one side wall of the pair of side walls. The abutment is dimensioned so as to engage the at least one recess of the projecting web of the hanger and is located proximal to the top wall relative to a midpoint of the cavity between the open end and the top wall.

    Abstract: A hanger which includes garment support means for retaining garments in the proper position is described. The garment support means includes a connecting part, an arm, a carrier element, a pressing member and a portion of reduced width located on the face of the connecting element. The portion of reduced width, after heating and during cooling, causes the carrier element and the pressing member to bias towards the main bar of the hanger. In addition, a stop formation and raised areas which increase the retention of the garment in the proper position are described.

    Abstract: A garment hanger includes an elongated bar member having two opposite ends; suspension means for suspending the bar member from a support, such as a rail; and garment support means at each of the opposite ends of the bar member. The garment support means each include an arm directed to the center of the bar member so that a space is formed between the arm and the bar member, a carrier element located at the free end of the arm on its side facing towards the bar member and an elongated pressing member supported by the carrier element. The pressing member is biassed towards the bar member by the arm and a part of a garment is receivable in between the pressing member and the bar member.

    Abstract: A garment hanger includes a support bar; suspension means adapted to suspend the support bar from a support rail; and a number of garment support elements located spaced apart at least at one end of the support bar. These garment support elements are located at various distances from such end of the support bar. At least some of the garment support elements have an engagement formation adapted to support a garment when engaged therewith and being pulled towards that end of the support bar where such support element is located. Thereby different widths of garments can be suspended from garment hangers, having the same size, so that all suspended garments have a neat appearance and have the same width.
