  • Publication number: 20060197975
Abstract: A method for printing programs and/or data from a handheld or remote computer 101 to each one of a plurality of printers 109, includes providing a secondary computer 105 having a plurality of printer drivers that facilitate the printing of the remote computer programs and/or data by one or more of the printers 109, sending the remote computer program from the remote computer 101 to the secondary computer 105 via an interface 103, and providing an interface 107 between the secondary computer 105 and the plurality of printers 109.

  • Patent number: 6965779
Abstract: A device (102) external to a wireless communication system infrastructure (104), defines (402) a dispatch group having a dispatch group identifier and including a plurality of wireless units (300). The device receives (404) a call for the dispatch group, the call including a message. The device establishes (408), through the wireless communication system infrastructure, a group connection to the plurality of wireless units in response to receiving the call; and delivers (410) the message and the dispatch group identifier to the plurality of wireless units through the group connection.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: November 15, 2005
    Assignee: Motorola, Inc.

  • Publication number: 20020196866
Abstract: In a radiotelephone (30), a channel estimator (39) receives a time division multiple access (TDMA) information signal (31) including a synchronous codeword (44), formed of a first subset of seven sequential symbols (47) followed by a second subset of seven sequential symbols (48), followed by a data sequence (45) formed of multiple sequential symbols. The channel estimator (39) uses the first subset (47) to train, via initializing (51) and updating (52), the channel estimate to stabilize the channel estimate. The channel estimator (39) uses the second subset (48) to train, via initializing (53) and updating (54), the predictor to improve the future accuracy of the channel estimate. The channel estimator (39) then tracks (55) the channel estimate over the data sequence (45) by updating the channel estimate and the predictor over the data sequence (45), without substantially affecting the stability of the channel estimate or the future accuracy of the channel estimate.
