Abstract: A braking structure of measuring tape, including a housing, a tape rule contained in the housing and a braking mechanism, characterized in that: a push button is formed onto the housing, by pushing the push button into the housing to keep it at a lower position; a braking plate of the braking mechanism would effectively suspend the movement of the tape rule, and after that, if the push button is pushed downward again, the braking mechanism would push the push button upward and return to its higher position, and the braking plate of the braking mechanism would separate the tape rule and the movement of the tape rule would not be suspended.

Abstract: Methods of increasing yields of succinate using aerobic culture methods and a multi-mutant E. coli strain are provided. Also provided is a mutant strain of E. coli that produces high amounts of succinic acid.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of diagnosing irritable bowel syndrome, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autoimmune diseases, such as multiple sclerosis and systemic lupus erythematosus, or Crohn's disease, which involves detecting the presence of small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) in a human subject having at least one symptom associated with a suspected diagnosis of any of those diagnostic categories. Also disclosed is a method of treating these disorders, and other disorders caused by SIBO, that involves at least partially eradicating a SIBO condition in the human subject. The method includes administration of anti-microbial or probiotic agents, or normalizing intestinal motility by employing a prokinetic agent. The method improves symptoms, including hyperalgesia related to SIBO and disorders caused by SIBO.

Abstract: Disclosed is a roll-up blind with safety arrangement. The blind comprises a headrail, a brake mechanism proximate the headrail, a cord having one end passed the brake mechanism to form an operable portion, a shade cloth coupled to the headrail, the shade cloth having a lower end coupled to the other end of the cord, and a plurality of cord covers formed on the shade cloth to cover the other end of the cord. Whereby pulling the operable portion of the cord will cause the shade cloth to wrinkle upwardly and the cord covers to contract together. Most importantly, a dangerous ring will not be formed by the cord and the cord covers in operation. Also, the shade cloth is wrinkled upwardly and the cord covers are contracted together to form aesthetic members in response to drawing up.

A method for prolonging the residence time of an orally or enterally administered substance by promoting its dissolution, bioavailability and/or absorption in the small intestine is also described. These methods are related to a method of transmitting to and replicating at a second location in the central nervous system a serotonergic neural signal originating at a first location in the proximal or distal gut of a mammal and/or a method of transmitting to and replicating at a second location in the upper gastrointestinal tract a serotonergic neural signal originating at a first location in the proximal or distal gut.

The inner layer curtains are connected to the pervious-to-light curtain by up-and-down overlapping. In addition, the opaque curtains are simultaneously folded upwards or hung over downwards through pulling operating cords by a user to achieve the indoor anti-dazzling or semi-opaque effects.
