  • Patent number: 8563159
Abstract: An apparatus includes a thermal strap that connects a first terminal of a first battery cell and a second terminal of a second battery cell. The thermal strap has high thermal and electrical conductivity. A wall link connects the thermal strap to a wall having high thermal conductivity. The wall link includes a first portion having high thermal and electrical conductivity and a second portion having high thermal conductivity but low electrical conductivity. The second portion is located between the first portion and the wall.

  • Publication number: 20100233527
Abstract: A battery terminal including a fastener shaft and a non-parallel slot, which when compressed by the use of a fastener such as a rivet, creates an autogenous spring force in a direction outward from the slot. When an electrode assembly is attached to the battery terminal, the autogenous spring force acts to create a more secure and reliable connection between the battery terminal and the electrode assembly.
