Abstract: In one embodiment, a plurality of electronic devices participating in a data collaboration session are detected. A group, of a plurality of groups, is determined to which each of the plurality of electronic devices is associated. At least some of the groups correspond to companies. Based on the determined group to which each of the plurality of electronic devices is associated, one or more limitations are identified that restrict the recording of data shared during the data collaboration session. The identified one or more limitations are enforced on only some of the plurality of electronic devices participating in the data collaboration session, such that electronic devices associated with a group that corresponds to the first company are allowed to record the data collaboration session, yet an electronic device associated with a group that corresponds to a second company is prevented from recording the data collaboration session.
