Publication number: 20240104575Abstract: Systems and methods discussed herein relate to a system for detecting and preventing fraudulent transactions through collecting requests for website access, stored-card trades and sales, and transactions using physical or electronically issued credit, debit, stored-value, and other cards. The fraud detection system not only flags individual transactions, but is also configured to dynamically track and update banned/watch lists associated with request artifacts and cards in order to catch and prevent individual actors as well as BOTs, at least by adjusting the thresholds used to evaluate risk scores and what is placed on the banned/watch lists based upon requests received as well as information from financial institutions, merchants, government agencies, and watchdog groups. The system is also configured to provide information to those groups.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 11, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Applicant: Blackhawk Network, Inc.Inventors: Henry Ivey, Rajiv Venkataramana Appana, Patrick Ramsey, Theodore Yeh

Patent number: 7259713Abstract: A continuous wave ranging system, comprising a modulator 2 for modulating an r.f. carrier wave in accordance with a pseudo random code, a transmitting antenna 5 for radiating the modulated signal towards a target, a receiving antenna 6 and receiver 7 for detecting the signal reflected back from the target, a correlator 8 for correlating the reflected signal with the transmitted code with a selected phase shift corresponding to the current range gate to be tested, whereby the range of the target from the system may be determined, a store 12 containing a plurality of different pseudo random codes, and selector means 13 arranged to supply to the modulator 2 and to the correlator 8 a code from the store 12 which code does not produce a breakthrough sidelobe in at least the next range gate or gates to be tested.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 1990Date of Patent: August 21, 2007Assignee: Selex Sensors and Airborne Systems LimitedInventors: George Edward Matich, David Henry Ramsey, Raymond John Walls

Patent number: 7125490Abstract: A filter has a longitudinal axis with an inner diameter defined by a hollow longitudinally extending center. The filter has fingers extend radially outwardly arcuately from the longitudinal axis. The fingers have base ends near the longitudinal axis and outer edges at extremities spaced from the longitudinal axis. The outer diameter of the filter is defined by the outer edges of the fingers. The filter is formed from a sintered porous molded thermoplastic or another material resulting in a filter more rigid than standard filters. The fingers are spaced apart from one another a predetermined, substantially fixed distance to form slots therebetween sized to capture contaminants therein.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 2003Date of Patent: October 24, 2006Assignee: Porex CorporationInventors: Michael Andrew Clendenning, Thomas Henry Ramsey, Tripp Augustus Avett, Timothy Allen Martin

Publication number: 20040003465Abstract: A bedding or seating product comprising a base having a pair of end rails, a pair of side rails and a plurality of intermediate rails. A plurality of resilient C-shaped metal spring modules are secured to the base rails. A nestably stackable wire assembly including a wire grid and surrounding border wire are supported by the metal spring modules.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 8, 2002Publication date: January 8, 2004Applicant: L&P Property Management CompanyInventors: Thomas J. Patent number: 6628228Abstract: An aircraft radar and altimeter system, comprising a radio transmitter and a transmitting antenna for radiating a beam of radio energy, a radio receiver and receiving antenna for receiving radio energy reflected from the ground, processing means for comparing the signal received by the receiver with the signal transmitted by the transmitter and determined from the comparison the instantaneous altitude of the aircraft above the ground, and means for changing the direction of radiation of the beam relative to the aircraft to compensate for changes in the attitude of the aircraft relative to the horizontal about at least one of the fore and aft and side-to-side axes.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 1990Date of Patent: September 30, 2003Assignee: Bae Systems Electronics LimitedInventors: George Edward Matich, David Henry Ramsey, Raymond John Walls

Patent number: 5613900Abstract: An abrading apparatus for cleaning an outer surface of an elongate member, such as a wire. An endless abrasive sanding belt is rotated about a plurality of rollers and orbited about the elongate member. Drive components for both rotating the belt about the rollers as well as orbiting the belt about the elongate member are isolated in an enclosed drive casing containing lubricating fluid, such as oil. A first roller which mounts the endless sanding belt is fixed in a rotatable eccentric support. This eccentric support allows the tension of the endless belt to be adjusted by rotating the eccentric support in one of two directions. One of the rollers includes a mounting portion and a belt supporting portion, with the mounting portion being axially offset or eccentric with respect to the belt supporting portion. A belt engagement and disengagement mechanism is connected to the eccentric mounting portion of the idler roller to allow rotation of the eccentric mounting portion in two directions.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 1995Date of Patent: March 25, 1997Assignee: L&P Property Management CompanyInventor: Henry Ramsey
