  • Patent number: 4799898
Abstract: The present invention relates to a plug with an integral fuse which is to be inserted into a conventional outlet of a power supply, e.g., an A.C. outlet having openings to accept the two plug's two terminals. It has heretofore been known to provide plugs of this type with a fuse connected in series with one of the lead wires and the corresponding plug terminal which is to be inserted into the outlet. Such fused plugs usually comprise a housing with a replaceable cartridge type fuse therein which is held between a generally U-shaped pair of spring contacts. The housing can be opened to replace the fuse if it blows.

  • Patent number: 4382654
Abstract: A lamp socket is provided with a body member or shell having an opening in its top and first and second electrical contacts in the shell to make electrical contact with a light bulb inserted into the shell. A tapered, resilient support arm projects inwards from a wall of the shell to engage the bottom face of an inwardly projecting tab portion of one electrical contact, which engages the base of the light bulb. This resilient arm prevents permanent deformation of the tab upon insertion of a light bulb to a greater than average depth into the socket and returns the tab to its initial position after the light bulb is removed. The other contact engages the light bulb ferrule.

  • Patent number: 4333701
Abstract: An in-line fuse holder having a first body section into which an insulated conductor which has been cut is placed, there being piercing type terminals provided in a second body section to pierce the insulation and to make connection with the two ends of the cut conductor. The second body section contains a cartridge type whose conductive ends are held in clip-type terminals with the body of the fuse viewable through a cutout which permits a viewer to see if the fuse has been blown. The two sections of the body are formed as an integral unit connected by a hinge and a cover for the cut ends also can be formed at the same time as the body sections.
