  • Patent number: 4870991
Abstract: An apparatus for directing a liquid fertilizer into an irrigation system having a liquid fertilizer flow conduit with the valve of a solenoid valve and the float of a float switch located in series and an electric circuit with the switch of the float switch, solenoid of the solenoid valve and automatic timer device in series. The apparatus directs fertilizer therethrough when electricity is delivered to the switch, solenoid, and automatic timer device when the switch is closed by the float and the timer is conducting electricity.

  • Patent number: 4644952
Abstract: A compact surgical operating instrument, including an elongated cylindrical housing supporting a projecting shaft which is mounted for reciprocation by a coaxially arranged cam assembly rotated by a motor drive. The cam assembly includes two continuous, opposed, canted cam surfaces which positively and alternatively drive forwardly and rearwardly a cam follower mounted on the inner end of said shaft, thereby converting rotation of the cam assembly to reciprocal movement of said shaft without the use of return springs.

  • Patent number: 4639710
Abstract: A foot pedal for varying resistance in an electrical circuit having an on-off control is formed having a base member with an actuator foot plate cover pivotally mounted thereto; an array of circular members is positioned in a circular recess between said base member and cover; said array including a pair of electrode discs spaced by a compressible resistance disc; said compressible resistance disc comprising a flexible elastomer with electro-conductive particulate dispersed therein; said array including an actuating plate which has a spherical joint connection with the actuator foot plate cover; an operator's foot pressure compresses the compressible disc to decrease resistance while a spring opens the pedal device when the operator's foot pressure is removed.

  • Patent number: 4003171
Abstract: The extruded metal sill assembly of a window frame is partitioned into longitudinally-extending inner and outer chambers by a vertical dividing wall. Water draining from the inside of the window and through a weep opening in an inside top wall portion of the sill collects within the inside chamber for drainage to the outside through valved openings in the dividing wall and a discharge opening in a lower wall portion of the outer sill chamber. The valved openings are controlled for water discharge by means of a flap valve swingably mounted at the outside of the dividing wall between the two chambers, the flap valve carrying a horizontal actuating vane extending into the inner chamber below the weep opening and being adapted for activation by the weight of water draining thereupon through the sill weep opening.
