  • Patent number: 10317767
Abstract: The subject matter presented herein relates to a method for producing a backplane for electro-optic displays. The method may include providing a substrate coated with a first conductive material on a first side and a second conductive material on a second side, the second side being positioned opposite from the first side, patterning the first conductive material by cutting through the first conductive material, wherein the patterning of the first conductive material creates electrical isolated conductive segments to be controlled by a driver circuit and creating a plurality of vias on the substrate, the plurality of vias extending through the substrate and providing electrical conductivity between the first and second sides. The method may further include creating a plurality of conductive traces on the second side of the substrate by patterning the second conductive material by locally align the vias to the driver circuit.

  • Publication number: 20100250236
Abstract: A computer-assisted method of abstracting and coding data includes receiving one or more documents is disclosed. The methods and systems extract information from a record based on extraction rules that correspond to an identified record type, determine codes corresponding to the information extracted from the record, present the correspondence between the extracted information and the codes, receive from the user-input device a validation of the correspondence between the extracted information and one of the codes, and output a report including the validated information and the validated code.

  • Patent number: 7688497
Abstract: A multi-layer film (300), useful as a barrier film in electro-optic displays, comprises a light-transmissive adhesive layer (316), a light-transmissive first protective layer (312), a light-transmissive first moisture barrier layer (308B), an intermediate layer (typically an adhesive layer) (310), a light-transmissive second moisture barrier layer (308A) and a light-transmissive second protective layer (306). The second protective layer may be covered by a hard coat (304) and/or a masking film (302).

  • Publication number: 20090192822
Abstract: A computerized method for evaluating medical reports includes identifying at least one or more medical reports stored in a database related to the medical condition, validating the identified medical reports by determining if key words associated with the medical condition found in the at least one or more reports are surrounded by a negative context and extracting relevant data from the medical reports. The exemplary method also includes evaluating the relevant data from the medical reports with provisions set forth in clinical guidelines corresponding to a medical condition, storing a flag identifying one or more of the medical reports as noncompliant when its corresponding relevant data does not comply with the provisions set forth in the clinical guideline unless a valid contraindication applies and displaying the medical reports identified as noncompliant.

  • Patent number: 4012901
Abstract: A damage-resistant mechanical-type metronome including a simplified spring driving connection to the pendulum and a simple adjustment, both of which at one and the same time minimize the likelihood of damage and also enable virtually complete elimination of "limp" or dissymmetry between the alternate half cycles. The device includes a shaft part, a pendulum part carried by the shaft part and adapted to undergo oscillating movement about the axis thereof, powered means for oscillating the shaft part, and a yieldable drive in the form of a simple, one-layer spring, connecting the pendulum and shaft parts to effect concurrent movement thereof. A pair of arms is provided, one of which is rigid with respect to the shaft part and the other of which frictionally engages the pendulum part. The arms include free extremity portions which are disposed adjacent to one another and which lie between two opposite juxtaposed ends of the spring.
