  • Patent number: 10910929
Abstract: A system for producing a winding bar for a stator winding of a stator of a rotating electric machine, in particular a turbine generator, having two machining units which can be arranged at a variable distance to each other. Each machining unit has machining device for machining an end portion of the winding bar, and each machining device is arranged on the respective machining unit in a pivotal manner about a pivot axis via at least one respective pivot arm. The pivot axis is identical to a longitudinal central axis of the rotating electric machine, and the radial distance between each machining device can be varied relative to the pivot axis.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 23, 2016
Date of Patent: February 2, 2021
    Assignee: SIEMENS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT
Inventors: Matthias Engewald, Michael Schuetz, Henry Werner

  • Patent number: 8476014
Abstract: A hybridization probe containing two linear strands of DNA lights up upon hybridization to a target DNA using silver nanoclusters that have been templated onto one of the DNA strands. Hybridization induces proximity between the nanoclusters on one strand and an overhang on the other strand, which results in enhanced fluorescence emission from the nanoclusters.

  • Patent number: 7451775
Abstract: An ergonomic support staff apparatus for supporting a user upon a surface is provided. The apparatus generally includes a longitudinally extended support member. The apparatus also includes a grip handle member adjustably coupled in position along the support member. The grip handle member includes a grip portion which protrudes laterally outward from the support member to extend in inclined manner relative to the support member. Use of the resulting apparatus enables the range of requisite arm swing motion for manipulation of the support member into stable engagement of the given surface to be minimized.

  • Patent number: 7222633
Abstract: An ergonomic support staff apparatus for supporting a user upon a surface is provided. The apparatus generally includes a longitudinally extended support member having upper and lower portions, and an intermediate shaft portion extending therebetween. The apparatus also includes a handle member coupled to at least one of the upper and intermediate shaft portions of the support member. The handle member protrudes laterally outward from the support member to define an angled grip portion disposed to extend in inclined manner relative to the support member. Use of the apparatus thereby enables the range of requisite arm swing motion for manipulation of the support member into stable engagement of the given surface to be minimized.
