  • Publication number: 20030196356
Abstract: A sign holding device for a folding chair that allows the user to display customized messages on a back rest of the chair. The sign holder is attached to the back rest in various manners so as to permit messages to be displayed when the chair is unfolded. The sign holders are configures such that when the chair is folded, the chair can be carried and stacked without having to remove the sign holders from the back rest. One embodiment of the folding chair also includes an integral carrying handle that permits the folded chair to be carried by one hand. The integral carrying handle further comprises an opening that permits the carrying hand to grasp the handle better, and also permit the chair to be unfolded without removing the hand from the handle, such that the unfolding action does not pinch the carrying hand.

  • Patent number: 6514207
Abstract: Methods and a system are disclosed for processing an echocardiogram video of a patient's heart. The echocardiogram comprises at least a first sequence of consecutive video frames corresponding to a first view of the patient's heart concatenated with a second sequence of consecutive video frames corresponding to a second view of the patient's heart. The end-diastole phase of the patient's heart is monitored in each frame by detecting the electrocardiograph wave, and a key frame is selected upon the occurrence of the R-wave peak in the electrocardiograph wave in each of the first sequence of consecutive video frames and in the second sequence of consecutive video frames. The shape and color content of the echocardiogram image window is monitored in certain video frames, and a transition is detected when there is a change in the first feature between adjacent frames. A summary is generated which comprises by the video frames corresponding to the end-diastole phase.

  • Patent number: 6382716
Abstract: A folding chair comprising a first and second safety brace member that provide the chair with additional structural integrity. The chair having a folded configuration and an unfolded configuration comprises first and second chair support members that are pivotally attached to each other so as to define a central pivot axis such that the chair is manipulated between the folded and unfolded configurations by tilting the first and second chair support members with respect to each other about the central pivot axis. The chair further comprises a seat which extends between the first and second chair support members such that the seat is aligned with the support members in the folded configuration and horizontally aligned in the unfolded configuration.

  • Patent number: 6114443
Abstract: The present invention is based on the discovery that diblock copolymers of ethylene and an atactic alpha-olefin that are prepared in the presence of a catalyst system comprising at least one metallocene compound and a non-coordinating anion are especially useful as compatibilizers with blends of polyethylene and isotactic poly-alpha-olefin homopolymers.

  • Patent number: 6092866
Abstract: A folding chair containing a pair of safety guards that are adapted to provide additional structural support to the chair. Each safety guard is comprised of a first member and a second member that are pivotally attached to each other at a central pivot point. Each safety guard is configured with an orthogonally extending lip on the first member and a corresponding indentation on the second member that, when combined, limit the possible orientations between the two members to range from an overlapping state to a linearly extended state. Both ends of each safety guard are pivotally attached to the chair in a manner that results in the safety guards being linearly extended when the chair is converted to a fully opened position and nearly overlapping when the chair is converted to a folded position.

  • Patent number: 6013594
Abstract: This invention relates to catalyst supports made by spray drying an emulsion polymerized latex and the novel supported catalysts utilizing these supports. This invention further relates to a method for forming supported catalysts by spray drying a latex of microparticles containing catalyst or catalyst components. The polymizerable monomers used in the latex are e.g. styrenes, vinyl benzenes, vinyl cyclohexane and vinyl cyclohexene and can form homo- or copolymers which may be crosslinked. The catalysts supported include metallocenes as well as Ziegler-Natta catalysts. Processes of polymerizing olefins using such catalysts are also described.

  • Patent number: 5738408
Abstract: A plurality of stackable folding chairs having two sets of legs pivotally attached to each other and a seat pivotally attached thereto. Indentations are formed in a first side of one of the two sets of legs and a protrusion is formed on a second side of the legs at approximately the same location. The chairs are configured to be folded so as to be substantially planar in configuration with the indentations and the protrusions exposed. The protrusions of a first chair can then be positioned within the indentations of a second chair so that the first and second chairs are positioned adjacent each other in a stacked configuration.
