The battery charger comprises a power output port connected to a battery, a rectifier electrically connected between an AC connecting port and the power output port, and a power conversion unit electrically connected between a DC connecting port and the power output port. When the AC connecting port receives an AC power, the rectifier rectifies the AC power into a DC power and outputs the DC power to the power output port. When the DC connecting port receives an DC input power and the AC power is not received by the AC connecting port, the power conversion unit transforms the DC input power into the DC power and outputs the DC power to the power output port.
