  • Publication number: 20250118964
Abstract: A battery charger compatible with AC/DC power sources is provided. The battery charger comprises a power output port connected to a battery, a rectifier electrically connected between an AC connecting port and the power output port, and a power conversion unit electrically connected between a DC connecting port and the power output port. When the AC connecting port receives an AC power, the rectifier rectifies the AC power into a DC power and outputs the DC power to the power output port. When the DC connecting port receives an DC input power and the AC power is not received by the AC connecting port, the power conversion unit transforms the DC input power into the DC power and outputs the DC power to the power output port. The battery charger is a 2-in-1 charger that can charge the battery using either the DC power or the AC power.

  • Publication number: 20220397575
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method of determining the likelihood of the presence of lung cancer in a subject. The method comprising determining the level of a biomarker selected from the group consisting of catalase (CAT), C-X-C motif chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4), superoxide dismutase 3 (SOD3) and surfactant protein B (SFTPB) from a vesicle population isolated from a biological sample from said subject, wherein a change in the level of biomarker as compared to a reference indicates the likelihood of the presence of lung cancer in the subject.

  • Patent number: 9457379
Abstract: Ultrasonic transmitters that can be used for ranging in mobile devices are disclosed. In some examples, an ultrasonic transmitter device can be configured to transmit ultrasonic signals in multiple frequency bands. The transmitter can include multiple sets of ultrasonic transmitters, each capable of transmitting in a different frequency band. In other examples, frequency-adjustable ultrasonic transmitters can be used. The transmitters can be configured to change one or more of a length, mass, or tension of a membrane to change a resonant frequency of the membrane. In some examples, the transmitter can include a non-uniformly shaped membrane capable of vibrating at more than one resonant frequency. The ultrasonic transmitters can be included within a housing configured to control the flow of air within and out of the housing. The transmitter membrane can further be formed on a patterned substrate configured to increase the sound pressure levels produced by the transmitter.

  • Patent number: 7837111
Abstract: An electronic nutrition journal that can include one or more portable units capable of reading barcodes and serving sizes on consumed food items either on menus or on items purchased. Portable units can communicate with either an intermediate computer or directly with a server computer that contains a master nutritional database relating nutritional data with bar codes. This master nutritional database can be updated by either user input such as user preferred menus or by visiting websites that contain this data. An external barcode generator can be operated to produce barcodes for commercial operations that sell food such as restaurants, food trucks, vending machines or others so that barcodes can be established for their menus or selections. The intermediate computer or the server can track food intake and provide computations of nutritional values, bench marks, etc. a particular user or for many users. The server and master nutritional database, as well as coding of restaurant menus, etc.
