Abstract: Method and system for online network based debate forums by using opinion trading exchange. Discussions are conducted in a format of challenges, wherein, in order to open the challenge or/and comment to it, participants are required to make an investment (bet) in their views in a forum currency; wherein the starting capital can be granted, bought with real currency or earned by participation in forum activities. After a predetermined time the challenge is decided as true or false, and participants earn or lose their investment depending upon the position they selected. Objectivity of the moderators can be challenged as well. User's position is defined by the amount of the forum currency owned. The system maintains searchable database with the history of previous challenges. The invented opinion trading algorithm invokes debates to gravitate toward conclusions based upon verifiable facts and logic.
