  • Publication number: 20160161304
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a fault diagnosis method for a resolver including: receiving output signals for detecting an absolute angular position of a rotor of a motor, inputted from the resolver when the motor rotates in a state in which excitation signals are applied to the resolver; periodically sampling and reading voltage values for fault diagnosis from the received output signals inputted as voltage signals from the resolver; calculating a difference between voltage values of two output signals of the received output signals generating an angle detection signal for detecting the absolute angular position of the rotor; and determining a short circuit between an excitation signal and an output signal of the resolver by comparing the difference between the voltage values with a preset setting voltage.

  • Patent number: 9297672
Abstract: An interface circuit for detecting a fault in a resolver is provided. More specifically, the interface circuit includes the resolver connected to an intermediate point of a stator coil of a first output terminal for a sine wave signal and an intermediate point of the stator coil of a second output terminal for a cosine wave signal to output the sine and cosine wave signals as a common mode signal. Also includes is resolver fault detection interface unit that adjusts a gain and an offset of the sine wave signal and the cosine wave signal in order to adjust the sine wave signal and the cosine wave signal received as a common mode signal to a frequency that can be suitably applied to an analog/digital terminal of a microcomputer, and to allow high-frequency components of the sine wave signal and the cosine wave signal to pass therethrough.

  • Patent number: 9174540
Abstract: A fault diagnosing system method for a coolant switching device for a vehicle are provided. The fault diagnosing system includes a first coolant pipe line that passes through an electronic device and an interior heating device. A second coolant pipe line branches off the first coolant pipe line and passes through a radiator. In addition, a coolant switching device is disposed at a branching point at which the second coolant pipe line branches off the first coolant pipe line and an on-board charger charges a vehicle battery and is disposed on the second pipe line. A controller is configured to determine a failure of the coolant switching device and stop the on-board charger from charging the vehicle battery when a temperature of the on-board charger is greater than a first set temperature and a temperature of the electronic device is less than a second set temperature.

  • Publication number: 20150070027
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for detecting disconnection from three-phase cable are provided. The method includes switching a plurality of switching elements included within switching units each corresponding to the respective phases of three-phase circuits configuring an output stage based on a predetermined criteria. In addition, the method includes applying a current generated in an input stage to the switching elements determined to be switched on and off based on the switching and detecting a current flow from the plurality of switching elements based on the applied current. Further, which of the three-phase circuits at the output stage is an open phase is determined based on the detection result.
