    Abstract: A draft shield (1) for a balance has a rear wall (2), a front wall (11), two side walls (9, 10), a top cover 8, and rail members (3, 4) which extend from the upper corners of the rear wall (2) to the upper corners of the front wall (11) and carry guide tracks (5, 6, 7) in which the top cover (8) and the side walls (9, 10) are slidably seated. According to the invention, each rail member (3, 4) includes at its front end a spring element and a holder element which are integrally connected to the rail members (3, 4) and are made of one piece with the latter. The spring elements and the holder elements are arranged on the rail members (3, 4) in such a way that the front wall (11) can be inserted between the spring elements (16) and the holder elements (17), and as a result of said insertion the front wall (11) will be secured to the rail members (3, 4).
