  • Publication number: 20140321644
Abstract: A method and device for generating a communal decryption key among participants to permit sharing of sensitive data, the method at a current participant includes generating a secret value; adding the generated secret value to an in progress key to create a modified in progress key; and forwarding the modified in progress key to a subsequent participant in accordance with a predetermined ordering of participants, over a predetermined number of rounds. Further a method for sharing of sensitive data among participants, the method at a current participant includes constructing an exponent by combining a secret value of the current participant and the sensitive data; creating an encrypted value using the constructed exponent; publishing the encrypted value; finding a product of encrypted values of all participants; and decrypting the product of encrypted values using a communal decryption key, wherein the communal decryption key includes secret values of all the participants.

  • Publication number: 20140305387
Abstract: A hydraulic power system for a utility vehicle having an engine with a crankshaft. The system features first and second rotationally-driven power generating devices, one of which is a hydraulic pump and the other of which is an alternator and one of which is a hydraulic pump. The first device has a first rotational input for operative coupling to the crankshaft for driven rotation thereby. A secondary shaft has an input end portion arranged for rotational coupling to a rotationally driven member of the first device and an output end portion arranged for rotational coupling to a second rotational input of the second device for driving thereof under driven operation of the first rotationally-driven power generating device by the crankshaft. Higher power output of increased reliability is provided over prior art add-on hydraulic solutions using electric-over-hydraulic power packs.

  • Publication number: 20140210825
Abstract: A system for determining the detectability of a fleet of vehicles by a listener at a target site. The system receives as input at least the number of vehicles, a selection of a noise signature for each vehicle, and a distance to the target. The system may then estimate noise pressure level for the fleet along the estimated distance from the given location to the target site based on the noise signature associated with each vehicle and display a graph showing the noise pressure level vs. distance from the given location to the target site. In an embodiment, the system may estimate the background noise level at the target site and subtract this from the noise pressure level of the fleet at the target site to determine an expected noise level above background noise at the target site.

  • Publication number: 20140139821
Abstract: A man portable device for detecting the presence of hazardous material includes a pulsed or time-modulated light source and an objective scannable across the surface of a sample for projecting light from the light source onto a succession of spots on the surface of the sample. A spectrometer performs a spectral analysis of the induced fluorescence to create a first dataset defining a first vector as a function of wavelength. A time domain detector for measuring the time decay of the induced fluorescence collected simultaneously creates a second dataset defining a second vector as a function of time. A computer identifies hazardous material by performing independent multivariate analysis on the first and second vectors as the objective is scanned across the sample surface based on fluorescent signal models for hazardous materials in the spectral and time domains.
