Abstract: A flexible fishing lure having a reflective portion and a method of making same is disclosed herein. The flexible fishing lure has a reflective portion encapsulated within a flexible body portion. The body portion is preferably translucent or transparent so as not to diminish the reflectivity of the reflective portion. Reflective particles may be controllably dispersed within the body portion to provide a reflective portion. A most preferred embodiment is a flexible fish shaped lure having one or more reflective gill plates.

Abstract: A fishing lure having one or more stationary weights, at least partially encapsulated during the manufacturing process within a flexible body portion or appendages thereof, and independent of any mechanical connection to the hook, line, line tie, or any wire harness or frame which may be incorporated into the lure, is presented. The one or more weights are of a material that is insoluble in water.

Abstract: A sinker weight is secured to the shank of an associated fishhook by a bail integrally formed on the sinker weight and having an aperture receiving a portion of the hook shank therethrough. The sinker weight is further secured to the shank by an elastomeric O-ring which surrounds an associated portion of the hook shank and a reduced neck portion on the sinker weight.

Abstract: An artificial fishing lure has a hinged, integral elongate, asymmetrical body of soft, resilient material which has a slightly U-shaped surface and a convex bottom portion. The body of the lure is non-stabilized and moves with compound, unpredictable motion to simulate bait fish. T-shaped hinges may be utilized to connect adjacent segments of the body.
