  • Patent number: 11345892
Abstract: Disclosed is a centrifugable syringe and syringe components for use in blood fractionation. Also disclosed is a method of blood fractionation using the syringe. The syringe comprises a substantially transparent barrel, a substantially transparent, elongated delineation neck, a plunger for drawing blood into and expelling blood from the barrel, and an adapter attached to the neck for enabling releasable connection of a selected device over an inlet/outlet opening in the neck. The delineation neck extends away from a distal end of the barrel. The barrel and the neck have respective axial bores in fluid flow communication with each other, the cross sectional area of the bore in the delineation neck being substantially less than the cross sectional area of the bore in the barrel.

  • Publication number: 20120204730
Abstract: Aspects of the present invention relates to automated production processes and associated systems, including automated bread making processes which enable the continuous production of baked bread. One aspect of the invention is directed toward a system for the continuous production of baked bread that includes an ingredient metering unit, a dough mixing unit coupled to the ingredient metering unit, a dough transport coupled to the dough mixing unit, an endless oven conveyor having a plurality of dough holders spaced apart from each other, and an oven unit coupled to the oven conveyor. The oven conveyor is configured to move the dough holders through the baking portion at a rate so the single batches of dough in the dough holders will be sequentially baked to form the baked products when the dough holder exit the oven unit.

  • Patent number: 5662132
Abstract: A structural protective shelter designed to be used around and above beds, office chairs, or anywhere an occupant may be sitting, standing, or reclining. It is ideally suited for protective use against structural building collapse resulting from disasters such as earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, bomb blasts, etc. The shelter is ideally made of steel or like material and is comprised of a rectangular continuously framed base (18) from which rise four, vertical uprights (14), two pair becoming continuous to radiused corners and common overhead horizontal primary members (20). Between and perpendicular to said two overhead primary members is attached two horizontal overhead cross members (10). Between and perpendicular to said two overhead cross members is attached a handle bar grip (12) to be used to help an occupant to maintain position within the shelter during periods of violent movement.
