Patent number: 11599538Abstract: Techniques for associating a selected search result, for a current query, with a recently executed prior query are disclosed. The system receives a first query from a user and presents a first set of search results. The system receives a second query from the user, subsequent to presenting the first set of search results, and presents a second set of search results. The system determines that a user selects a particular search result from the second set of search results. The system determines an association between the first query and the second query. Responsive to determining that the user selected the particular search result and the association between the first query and the second query, the system associates the particular search result with the first query. Subsequently, the system receives a new request for execution of the first query and, in response, presents at least the particular search result.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 2020Date of Patent: March 7, 2023Assignee: Oracle International CorporationInventors: Laney Jude Silveira, Richard Herbert Miller, Allison Marie Wayne, Kathleen Maguire Candland, Carmen Ximena D'Arlach

Publication number: 20210396911Abstract: An optical grade injection molded lens and process for forming including injection molding a liquid silicone polymer material into a mold configuration to form a base component of the lens and incorporating a phosphorescent composition into the liquid silicone polymer. The phosphorescent composition occurs in either a single or multiple injection molding steps of the liquid silicone polymer. Additional injection molding steps provide for forming a decorative feature into the lens, as well as forming a colorized ring from a further injection molding of a liquid silicone polymer. The silicone optical lens is produced according to the process of the present invention is integrated into a lamp assembly including a housing and one or more illuminating elements which, upon being deactivated, provides the desired long term afterglow effect.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 18, 2021Publication date: December 23, 2021Inventors: Robert Herbert Miller, Erik Lee Measel

Publication number: 20210396373Abstract: A vehicle mounted pedestrian communication lamp including a housing defining an inner package space for receiving a main illuminating component and at least one secondary component for providing variable depictions based upon a processor input to the secondary element. The secondary element further includes at least one individual matrix display containing a plurality of illuminating elements. The illuminating elements each further include any of LED, TFFL, transparent LCD or OLED displays. The individual matrix display further includes either of a rigid or flexible display. The flexible display may also include a thin film transistor (TFT) display. Other features includes a pair of secondary illuminating components provided on either side of the main illuminating component. The main illuminating component can also be provided as a fog lamp. The processor communicates with an external input via any of Bluetooth or Near Field Communication protocols.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 18, 2021Publication date: December 23, 2021Inventors: Robert Herbert Miller, Erik Lee Measel

Publication number: 20210081425Abstract: Techniques for system selection for query handling are disclosed. A query response selection system may receive a query from a user and determine attributes corresponding to the query and/or candidate sets of search results that may be displayed in response to the query. The system may select a response interface from one of a plurality of response interfaces for responding to the query. The plurality of response interfaces may include a conversational user interface and a non-conversational user interface. The system may display the response interface with a response to the query.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 8, 2020Publication date: March 18, 2021Applicant: Oracle International CorporationInventors: Allison Marie Wayne, Joshua Ulm, Sherry Mead, Hillel Noah Cooperman, Lancy Jude Silveira, Kathleen Maguire Candland, Richard Herbert Miller, Carmen Ximena D'Arlach

Patent number: 9665367Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a novel and non-obvious method, system and computer program product for uniform references to artifacts in a software configuration management tool. In one embodiment, a data processing system configured to resolve artifact references can include a software configuration management tool and uniform reference resolution logic coupled to the tool. In this regard, the uniform reference logic can be programmed to resolve a path name to a referenced artifact by processing a uniform reference specifying the referenced artifact.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2015Date of Patent: May 30, 2017Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Geoffrey M. Clemm, Herbert A. Miller, Allan R. Tate

Patent number: 5716154Abstract: First and second members are attached together by an attachment device which includes a key hole shaped slot provided in the first member and having an enlarged entry portion communicating with a narrow slot portion. An aperture is provided in the second member and a bolt having a threaded shank and an enlarged head is press fit part way into the aperture of the second member so that the enlarged head is spaced somewhat longitudinally away from engaging the second member. The second member is hung on the first member by inserting the enlarged head of the bolt through the entry portion of the key hole shaped slot and then sliding the second member laterally of the first member so that the shank enters the narrower slot portion.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 1996Date of Patent: February 10, 1998Assignee: General Motors CorporationInventors: Marvin Herbert Miller, David Allen Hoptry

Patent number: 4845842Abstract: A metal sheet (58) to be etched into lead frames has an emulsion coating (60) on its top and bottom. A bottom glass plate (56) has a mask pattern (64) defining the pattern of metal from the sheet (58) that is to remain after etching to form the lead frame. The pattern (64) has a first line width d1. A top glass plate (62) has a corresponding mask pattern (66) also defining the pattern of metal from the sheet (58) that is to remain after etching to form the lead frame. The mask pattern (66) has a second line width d2 that is less than the first line width. The emulsion coating (60) on the sheet (58) is exposed through the mask plates (56) and (62), and the emulsion coating is developed in a conventional manner to give photoresist patterns (64a) and (b 66a) or (64b) and (66b) on the metal sheet (58).Type: GrantFiled: November 25, 1987Date of Patent: July 11, 1989Assignee: National Semiconductor CorporationInventors: Herbert Miller, Richard D.
