  • Patent number: 5085111
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for stacking flat articles, such as double bags, which have been severed by hot-wire welding from a continuous tubular or semitubular plastic film and have opening-defining edges adjacent to their center lines. The bags are delivered by a transfer apparatus, called a wicketer. The wicketer has feeding arms, which are secured to a shaft and rotate about a horizontal axis and which are arranged in pairs in a starlike array. The bags are needled adjacent to their longitudinal center line on a holding plate, which is provided in a stacking station and carries upstanding stacking pins or needles, so that stacks are formed. Two radial holding plates are rotatably mounted on the shaft or axle and are connected to separate respective drives for pivotally moving the holding plates to a stacking position for receiving the articles.

  • Patent number: 4741466
Abstract: A machine is disclosed for attaching rivets, snap fasteners or similar fasteners to garments, the machine including an upper tool, a lower tool and a ram for advancing the upper tool. Holding tongs for the fasteners are carried by a guide rod which engages a brake carried by the tool ram. An operating switch releases the guide rod and a second switch is actuated when the tongs are in their lowermost position to actuate the upper tool ram.

  • Patent number: 4733811
Abstract: A machine is disclosed for feeding button parts from a magazine to an attachment position. The machine includes an arcuate sliding surface which guides the button parts to the attachment position, and a transport finger which moves along the sliding surface. The transport finger is spring-urged outwardly to move the button parts in one direction, but is shiftable inwardly to pass over button parts when moved in the opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 4376504
Abstract: A machine for the attachment of buttons provided with shanks to articles provided with buttonholes, having a lower tool which holds a button upper part and moves relative to the lower tool towards the latter. A device is disposed in front of the upper tool for widening the buttonhole to approximately the clear width of the shank to be seated through the buttonhole onto the underlying layer of material.

  • Patent number: 4273280
Abstract: A machine for the attachment of rivets, buttons or the like on clothing pieces, with an upper tool to be moved onto the lower tool, which upper tool sits on a vertically guided tool ram with electrical drive. Two different strength magnets are coordinated to the upper tool ram, the latter being spring-biased in the reverse direction, such that the weaker electromagnet which sits in the range of a cross-sectionally-smaller step of the upper tool ram surrounds the upper tool ram in ring-like manner and the stronger electromagnet has a core which core forms a pot-shaped recess for moving a plate armature therein, the latter being arranged on the free end of the upper tool ram.

  • Patent number: 4199094
Abstract: A machine for the attachment of rivets, buttons, or the like, particularly to clothing pieces, with an upper tool and a lower tool and with magazine chambers for upper and lower parts, from which chambers the upper and lower parts, respectively, are brought via feed rails into the region of the working position. The magazine chambers are arranged floor-like one above the other. A single slide is coordinated to both chambers, the slide being moved up and down in front of the rear wall of the chambers. On its front wide face the slide is equipped with stroke and sorting ledges which are inclined downwardly in the direction of one of the side walls. In the upper position the ledges lie flush in alignment with the discharge openings of the magazine chambers - side walls.
