  • Patent number: 7469759
Abstract: The subject matter of the invention is an arrangement of an electrical power generating system in an electrical vehicle. The electrical power generating system has a first module (2) for preprocessing and metering of the gases to be supplied to a fuel cell, a second module (4)with the fuel cell, and an electrical power distribution module (15). The first module (2) and the second module (4) are mounted in a container (9). The unit comprising the container with the two modules is installed in the electrical vehicle from underneath, in a cavity provided for this purpose. The electrical power distribution module (15) is then attached to the outside of the container.

  • Patent number: 6158538
Abstract: A battery carrier for a traction battery of an electric vehicle includes a battery container which is fastened to the vehicle body by holding devices that are clamped around a longitudinally extending sliding tube mounted on the vehicle body. The sliding tube is displaceable relative to the holding devices along a limited distance in the axial direction, so that the battery container can be accelerated relative to the vehicle body in the event of a frontal impact. Energy absorbing devices for controlling the transmission of kinetic energy from the battery container to the vehicle body, while partially consuming energy, may be formed by deformation tubes which are arranged on the sliding tube, and are made, for example, of a fiber composite material.

  • Patent number: 5788597
Abstract: In a process and apparatus for braking a hybrid drive vehicle, kinetic vehicular energy is converted by the driving electric motor into electrical power, which alternatively can be absorbed by charging a traction battery or by driving a combustion engine via a generator coupled to the engine, which is functioning as a motor. According to the invention, engine braking is activated if the traction battery is fully charged, if its temperature lies outside a predetermined charging temperature range, or if the charging current due to the electrical power supplied by the driving electric motor exceeds a predetermined limit value.

  • Patent number: 4788886
Abstract: A planetary transfer transmission for the drive of two vehicle axles of a motor vehicle, whereby a central input shaft, a coaxial central output shaft, and a concentric output shaft, in a torsionally fixed way, are respectively connected with one gear element of a planetary wheel gear that can be locked by a locking multi-disk clutch. An input wheel of an axle offset gear, that can be driven by the concentric output shaft, the planetary wheel transmission, and the locking multi-disk clutch are arranged in line to one another. The input wheel is disposed on the side of the locking multi-disk clutch that is opposed to the planetary wheel gear and, in a torsionally fixed way, is held on an outer hollow shaft that is rotatably disposed on the concentric output shaft and can be brought into driving connection with the concentric output shaft by an axle-connecting multi-disk clutch that is arranged on the side of the input wheel that is opposed to the locking multi-disk clutch.

  • Patent number: 4718302
Abstract: In an epicyclic distributor gear-box for driving two vehicle axles of a motor vehicle, a main shaft concentric with one of two coaxial main shafts is connected to the sun wheel of an epicyclic gear-box. Each of the two other gear elements of the epicyclic gear-box are connected to one of the coaxial main shafts. A lock-up plate clutch connected to two of the gear elements is engaged by a spring and disengaged by an axial pressure piston. Each half-clutch has a plate carrier and one of the plate carriers has an abutment supporting all the plates. The abutment is both immovably fixed on the concentric main shaft by releasable fasteners and is provided with axial passage for a clutch disengagement assembly. The spring maintains the engaged end position and is located on the sun wheel side of the plate carrier having the abutment and the axial pressure piston is located on the other side.
