  • Patent number: 7465064
Abstract: The invention relates to a light source (2) comprising at least one light module (13) and one control module (12) provided with a control electronics system. The invention also relates to an image-generating unit (1) for a head-up display provided with an inventive light source (2). Traditional solutions require too much construction space or cannot be mass-produced in order to obtain sufficient brightness. The aim of the invention is to combine a high degree of brightness, little construction space and mass-producibility, particularly for a head-up-display. According to the invention, the light module (13) and the control module (12) respectively comprise their own carrier element (14, 22)and are firmly connected to a common carrier (11).

  • Patent number: 7312927
Abstract: A straw holder for supporting a drinking straw in the mouth of a bottle is presented. The holder includes a straw support portion dimensioned for placement across the mouth of a bottle. The straw support portion includes an aperture designed to receive a straw therethrough and to vertically support the straw with respect to the support portion. The holder further includes a bottle retaining portion that includes at least one turn extending around the retaining portion. The at least one turn includes a first turn having an end attached to the straw support portion.

  • Publication number: 20060007553
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for producing a bundled light flux. According to the invention, a light source consisting of a light emitting diode matrix (1, 2, 3) is provided, an optical device for bundling and scattering the light produced by the light-emitting diodes is arranged between the light source and a light outlet (9, 18), the device for bundling and scattering comprises a latticed reflector (5) which respectively forms a light channel for each matrix point, the walls (6) of said light channel being reflective, and the end of each light channel, facing the light source (1, 2, 3), contains a convergent lens (4).

  • Patent number: 6854416
Abstract: A display instrument with two illuminated pointers, in which instrument the illuminated pointers (4, 6) are supplied with light via a light splitter (10). The latter has a frustum-shaped depression (21) so that a portion of the light is radiated in the axial direction and passes into the upper illuminated pointer (4). A further portion is scattered radially at the generated surface (24) of the frustum (23) and passes into the lower illuminated pointer (6).

  • Patent number: 6480752
Abstract: In a control device for manually inputting information into a device, having a final control element whose position can be changed under the effect of an activation force and which is connected to a converter for generating electrical signals which characterize the position of the final control element, and having a motor element which is connected to the final control element and which exerts, under the control of the electrical signals, a force on the final control element, the size and direction of which force is dependent on the position of the final control element and/or on the information which is to be input, there is provision for the converter to be composed of the rotor (3) of the motor element and sensors (9, 10) which respectively emit an electrical signal as a function of the position of the rotor.
