Abstract: Described is a treatment table for patient treatment comprising a plurality of table elements and a positioning device for selectively setting the position of a respective table element, wherein the positioning device has a plurality of electrical switches or switching contacts with associated actuating portions with which selective positioning movements of the positioning device are controllable, wherein the positioning device is in the form of a foot switch (11) and has at least one actuating lever (1) whose movements which are predetermined in given directions by a guide device (2) can be transmitted to at least two switches (3) or at least two switching contacts.

Abstract: The present invention provides a process for freeze drying of especially biologically or pharmaceutical material under sterile conditions, wherein the material to be dried is introduced into a container the sides of which consist at least partly of a hydrophobic, porous, micro-organism-impermeable, water vapor-permeable membrane, the container is tightly closed and the material is subsequently freeze dried in the closed container under the usual conditions. The present invention also provides a container for freeze drying materials under sterile conditions, wherein the sides of the container consist at least partly of a hydrophobic, porous, germ-impermeable, water vapor-permeable membrane.

Abstract: Crystalline orthorhombic potassium adenosine-5'-diphosphate having the space group P2.sub.1 2.sub.1 2 and the elemental cell constantsa=28.53.+-.0.03 Ab=10.49.+-.0.02 Ac=6.33.+-.0.02 A.alpha.=.beta.=.gamma.=90.0.degree.volume=1894.4 A.sup.3,has superior stability, relative to conventional salt forms thereof, e.g., the disodium salt.

Abstract: The invention provides a novel crystalline potassium salt of .beta.-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphoric acid (.beta.-NADP-K), having a primitively orthorhombic crystal system, which salt is more pure and more stable than the conventional amorphous form, and is advantageously not hygroscopic. The novel salt is produced by treating a dilute aqueous solution of the potassium salt of .beta.-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphoric acid with a hydrophilic water soluble organic solvent at a pH value of 2 to 5 until turbidity sets in, permitting crystallization and then separating the crystals.
