  • Patent number: 5259792
Abstract: A connector housing and method for minimizing EMI emissions from an electrical transmission cable is disclosed which includes providing a series of interrupt elements in each half of the connector housing which interlock together when the halves are clamped together about the electrical transmission cable. The interrupt elements provide discontinuity along the length of the interface joint which reduces the emission of interference signals from the housing. Preferably the housing connector and interference elements are molded from plastic material and plated with a metallic shield material.

  • Patent number: 5203717
Abstract: A coax retention comb adapted to be fittingly engaged within an interior area of a back shell of a coax assembly. The comb includes a plurality of slots formed across its top and bottom surfaces, the slots are vertically offset from each other and are tapered inwardly from rear to front which are adapted to receive an insulated coaxial wire. The coaxial wire has a diameter slightly larger that the inward tapered end of the slots so that the tapered ends are expanded where the wires are inserted therein. The interior area of the back shell is of a size which forces the comb back into its original configuration when the comb is fitted therein. This causes the inwardly tapered ends of the slots to bite into the insulation of the wires which fixedly position the wires relative to the comb.

  • Patent number: 5119020
Abstract: A cable assembly (A) is disclosed for a logic analyzer which comprises a flat woven cable (14) having an analyzer connector (18) and a probe connector (22). The analyzer connector includes a printed circuit board (32) and the probe connector includes a printed circuit board (34). Resistor-capacitor networks (D, E) are carried on respective PC board (32, 34) for extending the effective bandwidth of the cable assembly. A cable assembly (A") is disclosed having a low capacitance provided by high gauge signal conductors (92) and increased center-to-center spacing between the signal conductor and exclusively associated ground wires (94a, 94b). Resistor netowkrs (D', E') provide a high input resistance to the cable assembly. An interface shroud (B) connects terminal (C) of probe leads (10) to probe connector (22). A plurality of exterior grooves (54) are formed on an upper wall (44) of interface shroud (B) which receive locking arm (62) of terminal body (60).

  • Patent number: 4055738
Abstract: A mount for attaching a device such as a multiple switch within a hole in a panel. A first part has a lip for laying upon the front of the panel and also a pair of spaced hook arms. A second part is attached to the device behind the panel and has an opening for receiving the hook arms. These resiliently enter the opening in the second part and hold the device securely but removably to the panel. Screws or tools are not required. Deformable ears on the second part bear against the back of the panel to secure the assembly, and the ear structure accommodates a range of panel thicknesses.
