  • Patent number: 4008465
Abstract: An anti-theft system for guarding a premises and providing entry thereto, includes a selector switch device which has both a plurality of buttons and a rotary dial with a plurality of numbered positions. The rotary dial is preset for a specific number corresponding to each button. The buttons are arranged to be depressed in a predetermined sequence. The dial must be positioned at the preset number and the corresponding button depressed in order to disengage the alarm. For each button, the proper positioning of the dial followed by the depressing of that button energizes the next button in the sequence. When the final dial position and corresponding button is depressed, the window, door, or the like, will be opened. The wrong sequence of buttons or the wrong position on the dial for its corresponding button, will immediately cause the alarm to be reset.
