  • Patent number: 8795002
Abstract: A co-edge connector (200) is provided that includes a housing (200a) that supports a plurality of terminals (210). One side of the housing includes a slot (230) that is configured to accept a panel (30) and first terminal contacts (213) are positioned in the slot. An exposed support surface (206) extends from a wall (204) on a second side and second terminal contacts (211) extend above the support surface. In operation, if the panel inserted into the slot is inserted in a vertical direction, the second contacts can engage pads of panel where the panel is mounted on the housing by moving the panel in a vertical direction.

  • Patent number: 6302741
Abstract: The invention discloses a modular jack type connector having a dielectric connector housing 11 and a plurality of contacts 1 to 8 and 1′ to 8′′arranged in the connector housing for contactingly engaging contacts of a mateable connector when said mateable connector is inserted in a receptacle 9, 10 defined by said connector housing. The modular jack type connector further comprises a subassembly T1, T2, 46, 48 and a dc separation of the contacts 1 to 8 and 1′ to 8′ from external terminals and comprises a filtering device CC1, CC2, 47, 49. An element 31, 32 which is substantially completely insertable into said connector housing 11 holds contacts 1 to 8 and 1′ to 8′ associated with the contacts of said mateable connector and said external terminals, and the insertable element 31, 32 accommodates both said subassembly for a dc separation T1, T2, 46, 48 and said filtering device CC1, CC2, 47, 49.

  • Patent number: 6238226
Abstract: An electrical connector system includes a dielectric housing having a pair of wings defining a circuit-receiving slot therebetween. A plurality of terminals are mounted on the housing. The terminals have contact portions located at opposite sides of the slot. A flat circuit has an edge insertable into the slot. An actuator is mounted on and carried by the flat circuit. The actuator has actuator portions operatively associated with the terminals to bias the contact portions of the terminals into engagement with opposite sides of the flat circuit in response to inserting the edge of the circuit into the slot.

  • Patent number: 6077087
Abstract: A coaxial connector module includes an external, generally cylindrical ground contact having a side opening. An internal, generally centrally located signal contact is disposed within the ground contact. A signal terminal extends from the signal contact transversely outwardly through the side opening in the ground contact. A ground plane embraces the ground contact and has a ground terminal extending transversely outwardly therefrom. A dielectric substrate is overmolded about the ground contact, the signal contact, the signal terminal and the ground plane to hold these components in assembled condition as a module.
