  • Patent number: 6782591
Abstract: The punch press tool efficiently punches out a sheared sickle blade section bolt or a bolt from which the retaining nut has been removed in an implement using a reciprocating sickle bar. The punch press tool includes an elongated handle having a pair of rigidly connected parallel links pivotally connected to one end thereof to straddle a sickle bar. A removable transverse pin is engaged with end portions of the links in spaced relation to the end of the handle and oriented below the sickle bar when the handle and attached ends of the links are positioned above the sickle bar. The handle includes a radially extending heat treated projecting pointed pin spaced from the pivot axis of the handle to downwardly engage the end of a broken bolt in a sickle bar to force the bolt downwardly out of the sickle bar when the handle is pivoted toward the sickle bar.

  • Patent number: 4175762
Abstract: A sulky characterized by a single supporting wheel positioned behind, or partly beneath, the frame of the sulky, and where the driver's seat is positioned behind the single supporting wheel for added weight concentration and better driving control. The frame has a generally U-shaped plan configuration, unlike the present bow shape, and is typically made from a light weight metal which decreases in vertical dimension in a direction towards the head of the pulling horse.

  • Patent number: 4136641
Abstract: A livestock sorting gate having a chute forming a path for guiding animals toward a pair of pens disposed in opposite relation to one another laterally of the path formed by the chute for receiving animals being guided down the chute. Access to at least one of the pens is selectively blocked by a gate in the form of a parallel crank four-bar linkage disposed in the chute adjacent the pens. A motor, connected between an adjoining pair of three fence-portions pivotally joined together and anchored to fixed pivots for forming the cranks and connecting rod of the linkage, acts to vary the angle included between adjoining sections of the gate in order to swing the gate transversely of the path formed along the chute so as to achieve the desired blocking and unblocking of access to the pens.

  • Patent number: 3931796
Abstract: A fully vehicle mounted hydraulic-actuated cow catch-carrier having a frame mountable cantilever fashion on a vehicle and including a back wall arrangeable adjacent and transverse to the vehicle and spaced, substantially side walls extending substantially perpendicularly from transverse ends of the back wall. A pair of gates are pivotally mounted each on a respective one of the side walls at points thereon spaced from the back wall and arranged for being independently swung by, advantageously, hydraulic motors into planes substantially parallel to the back wall for forming an enclosure in conjunction with the back and side walls. The frame is preferably provided with a floor arranged for receiving an animal gathered by the gates with the floor being arranged forming a bottom to the aforementioned enclosure.
