Abstract: A housing and cap assembly for insulating and making watertight the electrical connection between a neon tube electrode and its associated power cable in an inert gas or neon sign system having a housing member with cylinders for containing a power cable and a neon electrode integrally formed in a parallel, double back configuration within a unified structure and having an cap member through which the cable and electrode are inserted which is also coactive with the housing member to form a weatherproof, watertight seal about the electrical power cable, electrode connection.

Abstract: A versatile unitary electrode splice cap for insulating and weatherproofing the splice connection between a neon tube electrode and its associated power cable in a neon sign system. The cap is useful both in "straight-on" and "double-back" installations.

Abstract: An inert gas lighting system, which system has a plurality of letters or characters arranged in sequence and a high tension dielectric terminal box operatively disposed between adjacent pairs of said characters. Each box has a terminal block centrally disposed therein for the attachment of high voltage cable leads thereto connecting adjacent letters. The use of thermosetting V5 plastic for the construction of the terminal box enables the entire unit to be molded, sealed and grounded as required. Installation, maintenance and repair of such signage is enhanced.
