  • Patent number: 7223061
Abstract: A boom for a telescopic loader, is described. It is proposed that the boom be configured with a carrier arrangement having one end fastened to a frame of the loader vehicle, free to pivot, and having a second free end defined by an attaching flange. A front piece includes a mating flange configured complementary to the attaching flange and releasably secured to it. The front piece is used to engage a tool. To enlarge this modular configuration, an extension carrier is provided that includes a further mating flange and a further attaching flange. By inserting the extension carrier between the front piece and the carrier arrangement, the boom can be extended to conform to special operating requirements. Furthermore, the modular configuration permits a more flexible configuration of the carrier arrangement and the front piece and has a more favorable effect regarding manufacture, handling and transport of the carrier arrangement and the front piece.

  • Patent number: 5879016
Abstract: An axle suspension suspends a rigid axle body from a frame of a vehicle. The suspension has a pivot bearing for pivotally supporting the axle body, a spring arrangement for resiliently coupling the axle body to the frame, a thrust arm extending in a longitudinal direction between the axle body and the frame, and a steering arm extending generally horizontally and transverse to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The steering arm has one end connected to the frame and a second end connected by the pivot bearing to the axle body. The axle body supports rotatable wheels. According to the present invention, the suspension includes a pivot stop between the axle body and the vehicle frame. The pivot stop is coupled to the axle at a first joint which is spaced apart from a pivot axis of the axle, and coupled to the frame at a second joint. The line connecting the two joints extends generally parallel to the main axis of the axle body.

  • Patent number: 5137557
Abstract: A suction air filter for a combustion engine includes a filter housing for receiving a filter insert and an attachment housing to which the filter housing is attached. The filter housing has a coupling end for coupling with a corresponding coupling end of the attachment housing. The suction air filter has an unfiltered air intake and a pure air outlet. A plurality of cam members are mounted on the outside of the filter housing near the coupling end thereof, and a plurality of cam elements are mounted on the outside of the attachment housing near the coupling end thereof. A rotatable coupling ring is mounted to receive the coupling ends of the filter housing and the attachment housing, and the coupling ring carries wedge members which are engagable with the cam members and the cam elements to releasably couple together the coupling ends of the housings.

  • Patent number: 4895051
Abstract: A clutch has two pressure plates that are provided with conical teeth facing one another on opposing faces of the pressure plates. The conical teeth resolve relative rotation between the pressure plates into axial force pushing the plates apart, thereby to press the clutch disks together to engage the clutch. A selectively engageable stop is provided on one of the pressure plates to permit limited, unlimited, or no relative rotation between the pressure plates. The stop is controlled depending on parameters such as steering angle and direction of travel. Two such clutches can be applied to the differential of a vehicle drive.

  • Patent number: 4733743
Abstract: A driving arrangement for selectively drivable wheels of a motor vehicle has, in or on an adjustable bearing axle, telescopic input shafts connected at one end to a direction-changing gear and at the other end to an input shaft for a spur gearing in a swivel housing. A clutch engaging and disengaging in dependence upon relative rotation between the wheels and the input shaft is connected between the spur gearing and the input shaft. This allows catching up of the wheels, while the driving connection to the other wheels is maintained, as well as engine braking.

  • Patent number: 4600236
Abstract: The basic structure of the operator station comprises two transversely positioned U-shaped frames mounted by anti-vibration mountings on longitudinal frame members of a tractor and supporting a floor. The uprights of the U-shaped frames are interconnected by side panels formed at the top with mudguard flanges or fenders. The floor supports the driver's seat and a console, including steering wheel, pedals, etc. The basic, open driver station may be provided with a roll-over protection frame composed of further U-shaped frames oriented on their sides and fixed on top of the uprights of the main U-shaped frames. The further U-shaped frames are connectd by struts extending therebetween. A roof may be fitted on the further U-shaped frames. The station may be converted to an enclosed cab by adding a rear window, side windows and a wraparound windscreen incorporating a full height door of one side.
