Abstract: A versatile clamp which consists, at least in part, of at least one extendable arm, one fixed-length arm, pivotable clamping legs on the distal ends of the fixed-length arm and extendable arm, and locking means; wherein clamp adjustments, by the user, to the extendable arm and pivotable legs are retained by a locking action, which, prevents an inadvertent change of the extendable arm's effective length and the clamping legs' angular orientation from their set positions. The combination of a variable-length extendable arm and variable angular positioning of the legs enable a single versatile clamp to be used in a variety of clamping configurations. The versatile clamp may be easily made, without the use of any tools, to clamp onto thick and thin materials, alike, and to perform in applications which require an offset clamping operation. The versatile clamp may also feature one or more interchangeable clamping arm extensions and legs.

Abstract: An open-backed towable watercraft (towcraft) which is maneuverable from side-to-side by the intuitive leaning action of one or more riders thereon. The towcraft consists of a partial hull structure, upwardly curved at the bow end with a predominantly flat bottom and stern; and, an inflated, or other cushioned, upper portion which is fitted with handles for the riders to securely grasp. At least three downward-projecting fins are removably attached to the partial hull structure. A first fin of sufficient size and draft is ventrally located along the craft's centerline, at its front. A second and third fin, smaller in size and draft to the ventral fin, are laterally spaced-apart, preferably, at a station aft of the craft's center of gravity.

Abstract: A seal for permitting a wire to be fed through a wall separating regions at different pressures, e.g. into and out of a vacuum chamber for heat treatment or coating, comprises a pair of die-shaped elements of hard rigid material each having a bore for passage of the wire, these elements being spaced apart in a tube extending through said wall, means for pumping air from said tube, and an internal wire guide in said tube adjacent one of said holders and having an internal diameter decreasing towards that holder.

Abstract: A seal permitting wire, rod or the like to be fed continuously into a vacuum treatment chamber comprises two die-shaped elements conforming to the peripheral shape of the wire, rod or the like in spaced holders with a tube sealed between the holders and a removable insert in the tube externally fitting closely within the tube.
