  • Patent number: 5080531
Abstract: A destructible multiple chamber cartridge for the in situ production of synthetic resin bodies from a reactive set for fastening anchoring elements in boreholes. The reactive set comprises between 18 and 25 parts by weight of a preaccelerated resin component composed of 3-60 parts by weight of a vinyl ester epoxy resin, 28-45 parts by weight of one or several ethylenically unsaturated monomer compounds, 63-3 parts by weight of an unsaturated polyester, and 10-0.1 parts by weight of epoxy resin. The reactive set further comprises 0.4-1.2 parts by weight of a hardener component comprising an organic peroxide, and 40-55 parts by weight of a filler component. The hardener component and the preaccelerated resin component are contained separate from each other in different chambers. When the fastening element is driven into the borehole, the cartridge is destroyed and the components are mixed and hardened, forming the synthetic resin body.

  • Patent number: 5077324
Abstract: A reactive composition for preparing synthetic resin bodies used in destructible multible-chamber cartridges and a process for anchoring a fastening element to the fastening base by introducing the destruction multiple-chamber cartridges containing the components of a curable adhesive in a drilling in the fastening base. When the fastening element is driven into the hole, the cartridge is destroyed, the synthetic resin components are mixed and harden forming a synthetic resin body. The reactive compound contains between 18 and 25 parts by weight of a pre-activated resin component composed of (A) between 3 and 60 parts by weight of a vinylester epoxy resin, (B) between 28 and 45 parts by weight of one or several ethylenically unsaturated monomeric compounds and (C) between 63 and 3 parts by weight of an unsaturated polyester and if necessary (D) between 10 and 0.1 part by weight of epoxy resin, between 0.4 and 1.2 parts by weight of hardeners and between 40 and 55 parts by weight of fillers.

  • Patent number: 5069581
Abstract: A process for anchoring a fastener in a base comprising introducing a bore hole in the base a destructible multiple chamber cartridge containing a reactive set for producing a synthetic resin body. The reactive set contains 3-60 parts by weight of a vinyl ester epoxy resin, 28-45 parts by weight of styrene and/or methyl methacrylate, 63-3 parts by weight of an unsaturated polyester resin which is not an ester of a polyepoxide with an ethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acid, 10-0.1 parts by weight of an epoxy resin which is not an ester of a polyepoxide with an ethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acid, 0.4-1.2 parts by weight of an organic peroxide hardener component, 40-55 parts by weight filler, accelerators, and polymerization inhibitors. The organic peroxide and resin components are in separate chambers. The cartridge is driven into the borehole so that the cartridge is destroyed and the organic peroxide is mixed with the resin components whereby the resin is cured.

  • Patent number: 4702654
Abstract: A spreading anchor comprising an anchor rod (1) including a spreading cone (5) on its front end (4) in the direction of insertion of said anchor (1), the spreading cone (5) flaring in the insertion direction and adapted to cooperate with a spreading sleeve (9) which is provided with several longitudinal slots (10), said slots (10) originating from the front rim (11) of said spreading sleeve (9) and forming spreading lamellae (18), at least two of said spreading lamellae (18) being opposed, the end faces (21) of said opposed lamellae (18) in the insertion direction being provided with cutting inserts.

  • Patent number: 4518290
Abstract: In order to produce conical undercutting of the bore when the anchoring bolt is driven into a previously bored hole with a percussion drill, the insertion end of the bolt has a slot into which the thin end of a wedge is inserted. Hard metal pegs set in radial bores near the insertion end of the bolt at diametrically opposite places on the periphery of the bolt protrude slightly and, as the bolt is driven into place, the wedge spreads its insertion end and causes the hard metal pegs to undercut the walls of the bore more and more as the bolt is set in place. A conical undercutting of the bar thus results.

  • Patent number: 4393638
Abstract: An anchor rod for insertion in a fastening matrix such as a concrete structural element, by means of a hand-held percussion drill, has a smooth mid-section of slightly reduced diameter just below a slightly thickened intermediate collar that separates it from threading at the external end of the rod and has a profiled ridge and groove section at its insertion end which has a lefthand twist for insertion with a righthand rotation, as well as a frustoconical flat tip. The profiled section increases in diameter gradually towards the tip. At least the profiled section is manufactured by cold deformation with flat ridge tops having minutely burred or beaded edges.
