    Abstract: A machine and a process of using the machine for turn-broaching a workpiece to for crankshafts or camshafts. The machine comprises turn-broaching units having peripheral cutters whose cutting surfaces are monitored and automatically adjusted to compensate for wearing. The angular positions of the cutters of a turn-broaching unit may also be offset with respect to one another such that only one cutter is in contact with the surface of the workpiece at each instant.
