  • Patent number: 5948494
Abstract: Composite sheet used as a component of a pad including a stack of like composite sheets and a pad comprising a plurality of like composite sheets. The sheets include at least one perforation line permitting separation of the sheet into at least two separate sheets, and a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive on the bottom surface of the sheet and covering at least a portion of the bottom surface of each separate sheet.

  • Patent number: 4579534
Abstract: A dome surface includes patterned perforations which allow light passing through to form various star constellations on a separate external surface. The dome rests upon a base which houses both a light source and a lens system, which may be adjustable, to control the spread of light. The base also has a compass attached to it for the purpose of orienting the planetarium to the actual direction of "true North." A tap player might also be attached to the base of offer recorded instructions. Above the dome there can be placed an opaque mask which blocks the light coming through most of the dome perforations while allowing light to be projected only through one or several sets of perforations which represent selected star constellations. A support placed under one side of the planetarium base tilts the planetarium to an angle corresponding to the local latitude.

  • Patent number: 4497582
Abstract: A hemispherical dome of opaque thin material is pierced with small openings in patterns conforming to the appearance of constellations in the sky. Mounted on a rotating cylinder, the dome is turned by an electric motor at adjustable speeds. A light source within the dome casts patterns of the constellations about the room. The control for the motor is wired into an alarm clock so that the speed of rotation may simulate the earths rotation. Turning the alarm on may activate the planetarium upon awakening the user. A "sleep cycle" on the alarm may operate the planetarium for a specified period before turning off automatically allowing the user to fall asleep with the planetarium activated. Opaque mask hemispheres which fit snugly over the planetarium dome are each provided with a single cut-out portion shaped to expose only one constellation at a time for projection. Light bulbs with variously shaped filaments will project the shape of each filament into the room.

  • Patent number: 4259671
Abstract: A parabolic radiation reflecting sheet member of an antenna is covered over a lower half portion of its convex side with a spaced sheet member which forms a manifold chamber with the reflecting sheet member. An upper edge of the manifold lies along a parabolic line along the midsection of the convex side of the antenna. A single hot air inlet conduit is attached to the manifold adjacent a lower edge and centrally of the antenna. A plurality of spaced hot air exhaust ports are positioned on the manifold upper edge and are each individually settable to control the flow of hot air from the inlet to the exhaust ports. The exhaust ports have a restricted aperture area to provide a pressure head in the chamber causing hot air to flow throughout the manifold chamber heating substantially all of the lower half portion of the reflecting sheet member.
