  • Patent number: 5682818
Abstract: A drive for a printer includes a printing roller which is driven by a step motor located at one axial end of the roller. A monitoring unit for the printing roller is disposed at the other axial end of the roller and comprises a belt which is mounted on two guide rollers. The rotational axes of the guide rollers are parallel to the rotational axis of the printing roller. The outer surface of the belt frictionally engages a portion of the peripheral surface of the printing roller so that the belt moves in response to rotation of the printing roller. One of the guide rollers for the belt drives a synchronizing disc having indicating elements which are sensed by a detector. The detector generates a synchronizing signal whenever an indicating element is detected, and the synchronizing signals are sent to a control unit. The control unit compares the synchronizing signals with reference signals and sends control signals to the motor when the synchronizing signals deviate from the reference signals.

  • Patent number: 4932798
Abstract: The invention is directed to an apparatus for recording image information on both sides of recording sheets which, lying against a partial circumference of a print roller are conducted past an image recording unit. A format of the inventive apparatus which is particularly simple in structural terms is achieved in that a sheet seating surface approaches the underside of the print roller upon formation of a sheet draw-in gap which lies preceding the image recording unit as seen in the rotational sense of the print roller and in that a sheet guidance surface forming a sheet acceptance gap together with the print roller and following the image recording unit as seen in the rotational sense of the print roller is arranged across the print roller and approaches the sheet seating surface at an acute angle.

  • Patent number: 4869606
Abstract: An apparatus for recording image information on a recording sheet is provided comprising a line-shaped recording head arranged in a housing of said apparatus, comprising a pressure member lying opposite said recording head, and comprising a ribbon cartridge connectable to said housing that contains a pressure member and an inked ribbon that can be conducted past the recording head in sections transversely relative to the line direction upon interposition of the recording sheet lying against the pressure member, thereby to enable an automatic conveying of the recording sheet. It is further provided that a sheet feeder device and a sheet deposit device are arranged in the housing and that the ribbon cartridge contains a sheet guide device extending between the pressure member and the sheet feeder device on the one hand and the sheet deposit device on the other hand for transferring the recording sheet coming from the sheet feeder device to the pressure member and from the latter to the sheet deposit device.

  • Patent number: 4563956
Abstract: A frictional wheel and a toothed wheel with a pitch diameter less than the diameter of the frictional wheel are secured to a drive shaft of the travelling mechanism. The frictional wheel is comprised of an elastic material and exhibits radial slots for the elastic compensation of the slip caused by the different diameters.

  • Patent number: 4552072
Abstract: A destination adjustment installation for positioning destination identification which is movable on a receptable in a path direction of parallel guidance strips by the use of an actuating element. The actuating element is designed as a stationary limit stop and the shifting movement of the destination identifications is obtained from the passage of the receptacles past the destination adjustment installation whereas the actuating element engages in the shift region from the time of its contact with the destination identification until the output of a control command after further drive of the receptable by a distance corresponding to the distance of the destination position from the initial position. The invention can be employed in particular for shifting identifications of electrically driven conveyor vehicles running on profile rails for the purpose of transporting files.

  • Patent number: 4238049
Abstract: A cover of the transport container is rotatably seated by means of two pegs each guided in a respective slot of the transport container side walls and can also be entirely removed from the transport container by means of the longitudinal displacement of said cover.
