  • Patent number: 7438364
Abstract: In a scraper device for a milling drum (2) mounted in a construction machine, with a scraper blade (10) arranged in a height-adjustable manner behind the milling drum (2) when seen in the direction of travel, which can glide on the surface (3) milled or to be milled by the milling drum (2), where the scraper blade (10) is guided in lateral guides (12) in a height-adjustable manner relative to the milling drum (2), and where first centering devices (14) are provided which center the scraper blade (10) between the guides (12) with small lateral play of movement when in a raised position, and which allow a greater lateral play of movement of the scraper blade (10) when the scraper blade (10) is in a lowered working position, it is provided that the second centering devices (20) act upon the upper end (16) of the scraper blade (10), restricting the lateral displacement of the scraper blade (10) at the upper end (16) in case of a lateral movement of the scraper blade (10) in the guides (12).

  • Patent number: 7370916
Abstract: A rear-loader road milling machine with a milling roll, which is arranged in a roller housing open on the bottom, and having an opening between a front part of the roller housing and a road surface, that faces in a direction of travel, which can be closed with a sealing device, the height of which can be altered. The sealing device can be pivoted around an axis in front of the milling roll for the purpose of adjusting the height of the sealing device. As a result of the pivotability of the sealing device on an axis, it becomes possible to pull the sealing device slidingly above the road surface so that it follows any unevennesses, for example, waviness of the road surface or existing milling tracks, following these unevennesses by pivoting frontward and backwards. Interruption or even blocking of the advance by jamming is excluded in this way. The sealing device also provides safe protection against milled material thrown forward.

  • Patent number: 7144192
Abstract: A self-propelled road milling machine includes a chassis (2) housing a rotatable milling roll (4) between lateral plates (12,13) disposed orthogonal to the axis of the milling roll (4). The milling roll (4) has a base body (14) and a milling tube (10), and is driven by a drive device (6) mounted on an exterior of an input-side of the lateral plate (12) by a reduction gear unit (8). The lateral plate (13) provides for exchanging alternatively mountable milling tubes (10) of different milling widths by being easily detached. For milling near an edge, a reduction gear unit (8) is mounted on the input side, and the reduction gear unit (8) is mounted on the interior of the input-side lateral plate (12) whose outer surface (25) forms a seat for milling tube elements that can be slid thereon from a non-driven side.

  • Patent number: 6887013
Abstract: A device for treating soils or road surfaces includes a machine frame (1) carrying a working roll (4) in a working roll housing (8) defining a working space (6). The roll housing (8) is provided with a spraying mechanism (10) for binder or water having at least one outlet nozzle (12) opening directly into the working space (6). A controllable closing device (18) has a closing element (22) which, in an open position, unblocks the outlet nozzle (12) and in a first closed position, closes the outlet nozzle (12). The closing device (18) is capable of triggering an additional movement of the closing element (22) beyond the first closing position such that at a second closed position, material accumulations in and/or beyond the outlet nozzle (12) are removed.
